[Flightgear-devel] thanks for the keyboard accelerators
This is to say a huge thanks for the keyboard accelerators. All the times I had hit ESC to close a dialog during low-level maneuvering (and then cursing because of an extra dialog I had to close or tolerate on my windshield) are now history! The ATC xmission menu change is also very handy for the same reason. Thanks, Melchior! Re: [Flightgear-devel] Thanks
Mostyn Gale a écrit : Yeah I know that I need I four axis control to fly helicopters. I'm building a collective and pedals at the moment. I'm disapointed to hear that the helicopter model is not optimised for all helicopters. Surely some tweaking can result in performance that match that of the real choppers. I have tried to make two helicopters as close as possible to the specifications 1/ CH53 seastallion: mass:36700 pounds 2/ AS330 puma : which is 16300 pounds it is very difficult to give the good delta and rellenflaphinge parameters according to the real model. The result for the flyable modele does contain non realistics parameters. I could never get goods result whith torque activated. Sometime it work , sometime it don't. It seem that the programm dont like the heavy helicopter. CH47 chinhook which is in the stable distribution, is not realistic. I tried to remodelise it good mass good sizes good rpm , its crazy the two rotors makes funny results In fact we should probably take advantage to develop a spécifique FDM helicopter, i am not abble to do it. ___ Flightgear-devel mailing list Flightgear-devel@flightgear.org http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
[Flightgear-devel] Thanks
Bravo, and feel free to ask any questions at all. A lot of plane design right now is kind of undocumented, and there are a lot of tips and tricks out there. The website looks good, so does the Robinson model. You will definitely want a 4 axis joystick if you are going to play with a helo FDM. A good cheap one that I use is the Saitek Cyborg. I would also love to see a UH-1, S-76 and Connie. Josh Yeah I know that I need I four axis control to fly helicopters. I'm building a collective and pedals at the moment. Anyway I'll keep the website updated fairly regularly so people can see the progress. ___ Flightgear-devel mailing list Flightgear-devel@flightgear.org http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d

Personally I want to try a CH-53e or an EC-135.
