[Flightgear-devel] Ubuntu configure/update etc.
http://wiki.flightgear.org/Scripted_Compilation_on_Linux_Debian/Ubuntu As the update with the above doesn't seem to work i try git now. What are the configure options if I want to keep it at the same location as with the above: ... checking for library containing gluLookAt... -lGLU checking for library containing glutGetModifiers... -lglut checking for library containing alGenBuffers... -lopenal checking for library containing alutInit... -lalut checking simgear/version.h usability... yes checking simgear/version.h presence... yes checking for simgear/version.h... yes checking for SimGear 2.3.0 or newer... [found 1.9.1] ... wrong version configure: error: Install latest SimGear first... michael@ubuntu:/media/DATA/FGFS/install/flightgear$ removed the old simgear 1.9 from /usr/*. Now the current git download/compiled simgear is at /media/DATA/FGFS/install/simgear. Can I do alike or would i run into problems. And what ./configure options? Thanks Michael PS: Later how to update only new stuff in DATA with git? -- AppSumo Presents a FREE Video for the SourceForge Community by Eric Ries, the creator of the Lean Startup Methodology on Lean Startup Secrets Revealed. [Flightgear-devel] Heads Up: GIT maintenance tomorrow (Sunday 08:00 UTC)
Following our release schedule, I'll be performing some git operations on our simgear, flightgear and fgdata repositories to finally create the branches for the release. I am planning to start tomorrow on Sunday, July 17th at 08:00 UTC and hope to be ready in less than an hour. The tasked to be performed are written down here: http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Release_Plan#Detailed_Time_Schedule_and_Checklist (Major bullet point 2. Jan/Jul 17th.) To guarantee that our repositories are in a consistent state, please do not push anything to any of our three repositories after 08.00 UTC. I will post a message on this list when I am about to start and after I have finished (or screwed up the whole thing). [Flightgear-devel] New urban shader
Hi, I always wondered why the new urban shader brought my system to it's knees. It turned out that with the quality lever above 3.5 he urban shader and the landmass shader for urban areas were both active ... I now get an acceptable 21 fps (was way below 10fps) for the urban shader and a good 42 fps for the landmass city bump shader. [Flightgear-devel] Dull license question
Hi Guys, While thoroughly enjoying the PC9-M, I noticed that its license is GPL v3. From a very cursory browse of the Quick Guide to GPLv3, (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/quick-guide-gplv3.html) GPL3 is apparently compatible with GPL2, but I'm not clear if we can distribute a GPL3 aircraft as part of an FG distribution which is otherwise GPL v2. -Stuart -- AppSumo Presents a FREE Video for the SourceForge Community by Eric Ries, the creator of the Lean Startup Methodology on Lean Startup Secrets Revealed.
