RE: Return Alarm

2001-09-04 Thread Grace, Kathy

First, no you cannot make the horn sound when an alarm returns to normal.

Second, when an unacknowledged alarm returns to normal it will show up on
the CAD as an unacknowledged RTN alarm. If you are using the default sort
of RAPT for your CAD, this alarm will show up below you unacknowledged,
active alarms. Once an alarm is both acknowledged and returns to normal it
is removed from the alarm database on the workstation and can no longer be
viewed on the CAD.

Kathy Grace

Re: Return Alarm

2001-08-31 Thread dhawly hawpyt

Actually we have used single bit for Pump Status. If status changed to 1
means pumps has started and if it has changed to 0 pump has stopped.

We have used SAO = 1 means state change option true
IVO = 0 Invert option false
INVALM = 1 Invert Alarm Option false means it will give alarm only for state
change from 1 to 0 means when pump is stoppped and it will give return alarm
for 0 to 1 and RTN is not coming on CAD and also not giving horn.

If INVALM =0 then it will give alarm for state change from 0 to 1 means when
pumps is started and it will give return alarm for 1 to 0 and RTN is not
coming on CAD and also not giving horn.

I require for both state change from 0 to 1 & from 1 to 0.

Shawly Hawl

RE: Return Alarm

2001-08-30 Thread Johnson, Alex (Foxboro)

Return to Normal messages cannot sound a horn.

Return to Normal messages are shown on the Current Alarm Display by changes
in the text of the Alarm message.

I suspect from your question that you want a message whenever a contact
changes state. If this is indeed the case, you can do that by using the
State Change message option in the CIN block.

Hope this helps.
