[Framers] Watermark over graphics?
Framers, I would like to place a watermark on Master Pages, but that only works when the Body Page shows text and tables. I don't want to use Acrobat for watermarks because some of our manuals are 2,000 pages and we would have to re-insert the watermark every time we distill a manual. Is there a workaround solution for Frame Master Pages that will always work, even on top of graphics? Re: [Framers] (External):Framers Digest, Vol 122, Issue 7
Hello Julie, If I understand your need correctly, here is my suggested solution. It's based on FrameMaker 11, but I think it will work in FrameMaker 12: 1. Bring up Find/Change and choose Conditional Text, then select Conditional Text Tag C. 2. Click Find to select the text with Tag C. 3. Click the title bar to reactivate the file. 4. Press Ctrl + 4 and choose Tag B and apply it to the text. After you apply Tag B, the text will still be selected. 5. Now press Ctrl + 5 and choose Tag C to remove it. 6. Press Ctrl + Shift + F to find the next occurrence of Tag C. 7. Repeat Steps 4 through 6 for all content in the file until you have applied Tag B and eliminated Tag C for all occurrences in the file. 8. After you are finished, display your list of Conditional Text tags, choose Tag C, and trash it. Hope this helps. A thousand thanks, Rick Quatro and Tino Haida. Tino, your character width change not only fixed the problem but also saved 69 Paragraph Tags from certain doom. Question on Mixed Page Sizes
Save Book As...PDF is the fastest way I know to distill a book. But when I distill a book with mixed page sizes, all the pages come out the same size. This does not happen if I use the command Print Book and then choose Adobe PDF, but this method is so much slower. Does anyone know of a way to distill mixed page sizes using Save Book As...PDF? Thank you. Note: I am using FrameMaker 10, Acrobat 10 Pro Extended, and Distiller 10. Alex ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com.
