To achando o free muito lento, por exemplo xterm as vezes demora 3 segundos para abrir. No linux, gentoo, era super rapido :/ . [FUG-BR] PF e linux kernel-2.6.17
Estou tendo problemas de acesso aos meus servidores que estão atrás de NAT com PF com clientes que utilizam o Linux Kernel 2.6.17. Pelo o que eu li, nesta versão o kernel faz uma espécie de tunning alterando o tamanho do buffer do pacote TCP. Alguém está tendo este problema também ou tem mais informações a respeito? Com a 6.1 2006/08 foi normal, porém ao atualizar pelo cvsup para RELENG_6_1, o problema voltou a ocorrer. Pior que fiz a atualização remotemante, buildworld, kernel, mergemaster, etc... Dei reboot e não voltou. Depois fiz testes pela console e mesma coisa, ao habilitar a placa de rede, a máquina trava. Se tirar o cabo de rede, a máquina sobe sem problemas. Pior que fiz o teste em 2 ambientes (switchs) totalmente distintos. Reinstalei a 6.1 200608, só que agora fiz o cvsup para RELENG_6 e deu tudo certo. Pessoal, Estive atualizando o freebsd por conta das recomendações sobre as recentes vulnerabilidades. Porém, quando executo o portupgrade acontecem erros. Cara... com certeza... qualquer customizacao do freebsd te atende As unicas coisas que vc deve ficar de olho, eh quanto a compatibilidade de hardware, quanto mais compativel, mais tranquilo sera a configuiracao. Soh uma dica, configurei algumas maquinas pra teste, on aparecia a tela do gdm (login grafico), o cara digitava o CPF + senha e abria somente o FireFox em tela cheia + Gaim pra msn messenger. Bom dia a todos!! Minha dúvida é como controlar as atualizações do freebsd. Ex: Faço uma instalação básica do free em uma máquina e logo após faço um cvsup? O problema que o cvsup baixa tudo.. e depois eu tenho que compilar todo os sistema ao invés de compilar apenas a instalação básica. Tem alguma ferramenta para controlar os pacotes instalados assim como no portupgrade? Como faço, pois quero uma instalação enxuta. A enúmeras formas de fazer isso, essa é apenas uma delas,
existe formas de colocar cores no cursor e tudo mais, a função
fflush() se faz importante nesse exemplo sem ela você acaba
correndo o risco de não ver seu curor girar;

Ola Alguem tem alguma dica para montar um quisque multimídia usando o freebsd. Ou algo como o m0n0wall, para rodar direto em cd somente um browse, para o usuário não ter acesso a mais nada, desta forma, nem disco rigido precisaria ter na maquina.
