 hello

Has any developer ever consider a spin off of grand theft auto?
i know this type of game is for eighteen plus or R rated, as you say
in the states, but surely we should break away from old style games
and go for something more modern. If we want more adventurous and in
the end, more adult oriented games as in GTA for the PS2 and other
consoles, ten i feel we have to break away from the games for everyone
section and maybe be more adventurous
If i could program, i'd start planning it out now to be honest, have a
game that's truely 3d. Maybe, thomas, you could license your engine or
use it to produce a game such as this in the future. You stated i
bleieve this engine will even let you drive vehicles etc?
 will

[Audyssey] playstation president steps down on cnet news

2008-02-25 Thread Everett Elam
Hi, I just figured this was pertanent to the list
Sony announced early Monday that Phil Harrison, president of Sony Computer
Entertainment Worldwide Studios--and therefore the head of the PlayStation
group--would
be stepping down as of Feb. 29, 2008.

No specific reason was given for Harrison's departure. Kazuo Hirai, president
and group CEO of Sonly Computer Entertainment International, will assume
Harrison's
position.

But, one can assume that Harrison may well be the latest head to roll in the
wake of the poor performance of the PlayStation 3--the next-generation video
game console that launched with gigantic expectations but has wallowed in
third-place, trailing Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360.

That's after Ken Kutaragi, the so-called father of the PlayStation,
stepped down last April.
That departure was widely assumed to be a result of the PS3's poor sales.

 Hi,

I should add to that that if you want help with anything, talk to me on

I'll be glad to help. Also. The nintendo 64 is more real accessible games-
MRC racing, sanfransisco rush, cruis'n USA, Cruis'n exotica, just to name
 a
few, not fully accessible mind you, but accessible enough to get some
enjoyment from. Give me an hour and you'll have the best article on rush

you need to find a file called sapisvr.exe
then run it.
This error is a result probably because the rec engine and sapi4 have issues
then something was not run or something.
find and run sapisvr.exe

well there is another way.
It envolves sacrofising sapi4 support.
1. reformat then load everything but sapi4.
I don't know how to uninstall sapi4 as well as the actual api itself.
And well it will work.
But you can't use any sapi4 device ever.

Subject: [Audyssey] Changing Sappy voice for playing games

 Hi friends,
When playing Ian Humphrey's games I don't like the voice the games are now
using, so I'm trying to change the default sappy voice, but when I go to
 control
panel, speech I there get a run time error. Can someone help me in
changing the voice that is used to play Ian's games. I'm using Windows XP
Pro and have two sound cards installed. Any help
 would be greatly appreciated.

2008-02-25 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,
No, there isn't any resemblence in what Phil is planning and Grand Theft
Auto. Phil's Cops and Robbers game is more generic where you play a cop
chasing down crooks and can get out of your patrol car to chase on foot.
Grand Theft Auto is much more complex, violent, and has a lot more
sexual content than I think Phil has in mind.
Phil's game is from the cops perspective where Grand Theft Auto is about
a gangsta who steels cars, and does other gang related activities from
the gangsta's point of view.

That game will be similar to the driver games- at least, there's a mode in
them where you can be the cop who chases the robber, both on foot or in a
vehicle...this sounds fun.
