Hi Jim,
I followed your instructions you sent, then I selected cepstrel Frank as the
voice I wanted to use and got the following message:
--------------------------- RUNDLL--------------------------- An exception
occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Speech\sapi.cpl",Speech"--------------------------- OK

I'm wondering if it makes a differance if I have two sound cards installed
or if you have any other ideas. Thanks for your help,
Brian

Hi Brian,

If the error that you get reads

The requested task cannot be carried out because the necessary engine could
not be created. Please select a different engine and slash ora different
audio device.
ok button

So click on the ok button and then the second line from the top of the
screen will read

speech recognition tab text to speech tab

So click on the text to speech tab and you will then be in the area where
you can change your computer's default sapi5 voice.
