[Audyssey] Legend mud down?
Hi list. I've been trying to connect to Legend Mud for the past two days, I keep getting a message saying Connection timed out. I cant even access the home page. Anybody else have this problem? I can connect to other muds, so I don't think the problem is on my end. Hi Linsy. Interpreters wise, we did a bit of a study recently for audiogames.net. We found Winfrotz, actually the interpreter winfrotz tts is based on), and html tads to be the best for those game formats. I've also used Winglulks as wel, though not recently. As to games, it's a very preference based thing. Being a fan of weerd plots and surreal exploration I'd personally recommend babel, wearing the claw, the earth and sky series, lash (though that one is certainly adult rated), worlds apart, Pythos mask, gini chronicles and Dreamhold (which I'd personally wrate highly even despite it being a tutorial adventure, it was incredibly fun to play). But again, that's my opinion based on the sort of stuff I like. Hth. Beware the Grue! The rest is all original USA Games audio content. As for the Cyclops at the end of level 1 he is a type of mini-boss of sorts. The reason he doesn't have any special attacks is because Geek mythology doesn't really mention any for the ;Cyclopses in the epics. She is really going to be mean and tough. She has two attacks. She can hit you with fire breath at a distance or hit you with her scorpion tail up close. Something along those lines anyway. Maybe they could have a special attack involving hurled lightningbolts, and perhaps some kind of attack involving their eye? A gaze that stuns or some kind of beam or something. Just curious. Hi, That's possible, but that wouldn't work very well into the game's over all story line. I would presume since the sword you find is enchanted, a magical weapon, it is unlikely to ware out nor would you want to use any other sword. Especially, not when fighting boss creatures. However, since this is only one game of several I plan to add to the series it is an idea I can save for another game. well the best interpriter to really use I feel is hugo. any of the hugo games are good. Another is web if games, there are not many but there are a few. The other is java although I honestly have not tried it at all yet. But if the java web interfaces are anything to go buy then it should be good. [Audyssey] The Freedom chat LoRD or similar
Hi! Just wanted to ask a question. In some years ago the IRC network Freedom Chat ran a rendition of LoRD (Legend of the Red Dragon). Unfortunately it has been in nonexistence since last year (or so). Do you know if the game is still available somewhere as a mud version? Probably not; The FreedomChat network is still somewhat up and running but the old gameserv has been removed. If not, do you know any LoRD MUDs which are playable? Hello there. Yes, Legend *is* a mud. It can be found at, mud.legendmud.org Port It is a really good Mud with 3 eras of time you can travel and explore in. Ancient, Medieval and Industrial. There are lots of quests to do in the game, lots of mobs to be killed for xp and lots of adventure and exploring to do within the world. ?There are also surprise XP rooms. You need to explore around to find them, but they are well worth finding. They honestly give you XP just for entering them! They only give you the free XP once though, but they are good fun to find. The other good thing in the game is, the really well run games put on very often by the Immortals. Also, you can spend a lot of time chatting with new people in the game. I find that a nice part of Legend too. Okay, hope to see everyone in Legend very soon, as I hope *I* can get back in!!
