[Audyssey] Happy New Year From Humanity MOO!
Hi List, Happy New Year guys.Humanity MOO is now open for public beta! We've added several new features, and fixed many bugs, and overall made it a much better game. For those who don't know, Humanity MOO is a futuristic MOO, or Mud, which involves space exploration, combat, roleplaying, and much more. The Mud address is humanitymoo.game-host.org, 4000, and the rather out of date site is at treknet.no-ip.info/humanitymoo. Enjoy! Re: [Audyssey] Scifi exploration online game?
hi Jason. If you get to the point of making the game and would like some assistance in the writing department, please let me know, - that's sort of my area. i'd absolutely love to see something like this though, and with the work you've done on entombed, you might be the person who finally pulls it off I think. The trick of course is the game play and making it interesting. Right now it has to stay an interest only while I work on Entombed. I'm fascinated by the possibility though. Re: [Audyssey] Scifi exploration online game?
Hi Dark, Actually, by summer i should have something that is right up your alley. As you might recall a couple of weeks ago I was talking about a text based RPG game engine for Mac, Linux, and Windows. Over teh holidays i have taken some time to write up some initial code for it, and one of the game ideas I have been sampling with is a Star Wars roll playing fantacy game during the clone wars. You can basically pick from a list of popular races and classes and train to be a Jedi at the jedi temple. As you get better you can then travel to various worlds and get involved in various missions. dark wrote: Hi. a combination of reading starwars novels, playing Eamon and Sryth, and watching my brother play Final fantasy crysis core on the psp is really getting me in the mood for something scifi, but every online game I've looked at in a scifi setting seems to be either a, galactic empire building pvp stratogy, or B, galactic ship sales pvp trading! Re: [Audyssey] Scifi exploration online game?
Hi, Agreed. A friend of mine walked me through a brief session of Spore a while back. The really neat thing was that aforementioned procedural generation along with the uploading of user content. The two combined to create what were, I gather, very visually distinctive and unique worlds. The sense of possibilities and exploration there was tremendous. It's this sense of infinite possibilities which I like about Fallthru, even though that isn't in the scifi mode and isn't multiplayer. Re: [Audyssey] Scifi exploration online game?
I'd like this to, all the games I have had are empires, etc. Nothing has exploration, battle, adventure, etc. st voyager I am sure was based of lost in space at least thats what I'd imagin it being based off. But yeah I'd like something like this. either as a mud or even better as a full featured game with sfx, etc. I'd pay good money for this, and I'd jump at the chance to test or help if any game was made like this. This is a bug. It will happen either when the enemy has used focused shield and you shoot them, or when your reinforcements and the enemy reinforcements both fire at the same time. the developer knows about it. Don't worry, just press enter or escape to exit the error window and continue blasting your enemies. Hth. Thanks. :) Char -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of dark Sent: Wednesday, December 31, 2008 10:04 AM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Level 10 of Hunter? Hi char, and welcome to the list. for the vine level of hunter, first, listen for hunter Jo's footsteps, that will tell you what side of the river your on and which side to grab the vine on. Then, listen for the ratling vine sound swinging back and forth, if the footsteps were on the left, you'll need to jump onto the vine with the up arrow when it's on the left, - then swing across the river and jump down with the down arrow when it's on the right, - obviously the other way around if the footsteps were on the left. One important thing to remember is that to make a successful jump, the vine has to be on the very extreme far left or right of your sterrio field, otherwise you'll drop in the drink. Hth, and have fun on the list. Beware the Grue! Re: [Audyssey] x box 360
Will, the limitation on games isn't in terms of genre... wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, ps3... they're mostly limitted to fighting games and some sports anyway. At least that's how I see it. The consideration lies in how many games you want to play, and what you want out of the console. - Original Message - From: "Will Lomas" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Wednesday, December 31, 2008 12:36 AM Subject: [Audyssey] x box 360 hi if i were to buy an x box 360 console, are there any accessible games worth playing or is it like the ps2 and limited to fighter games and maybe racing? regards will --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. [Audyssey] Level 10 of Hunter?
Hello. I'm a new gamer, and new to the list. Nice to meet you!:) I've got a question. I can go through all of the levels of hunter, except level 10. How do you know when to jump for the vine? Re: [Audyssey] Aemon deluxe
There was an article I posted about the matter, although since I forgot where it is, have to look in the archives for it. -- From: "Thomas Ward" Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 9:43 AM To: "Gamers Discussion list" Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Aemon deluxe Hi Dark, No, we have bigger problems under Vista. At least from my experience the program won't even execute. Vista takes serious issue witht the fact Eamon is a 16 byt application and is not a 32 byt application. I honestly haven't looked into the matter too much, but in my initial testing Vista basically pitchd a fit when i tried to run it. I hope someone can find a simple solution, but I think probably not. dark wrote: I've been in contact with the eamon dev about fixing the fullscreen and 40 character issues, sinse it's a pest for Hal. if it's only fullscreen applications that cause trouble on vista maybe this would help with that as well?
