[Audyssey] inquisitor help

2013-03-17 Thread Mike Maslo
Hi list:

I am stuck on the inquisitor gem and was hoping to get some help.

I talked with the librarian and the priest knocked him out but now I do not
know what to do. The trunk in the library is locked and I can't open it. I have
walked around and can't get a saddle for the horse, and no one to talk to now.

Can anyone give me any ideas on what to try?

Thanks so much in advance

[Audyssey] Fw: New Game Released: Pig

Subject: [Audyssey] New Game Released: Pig

Hello Gamers,
RS Games has just released a new game for its multiplayer server called
Pig, in early celebration of St. Patrick's Day. It is a very simple dice
game where you roll one die, and are faced with two options: Roll or Hold.
Every roll of the dice increases your score, except if you roll a one. If
you roll a one, you loose ALL your points scored for that turn, and the
next person goes. Your goal is to rack up as many points as you can and
Hold (allowing the next person to go), before you roll a 1. It's simple -
but fun to play with friends.

You can read documentation on this game by visiting:
http://zanosoft.net/zgp/doc/pig.html. As always, visit www.rsgames.org to
learn more about us, and register for a free account to start playing any
of our titles.

Thanks.

[Audyssey] Inquisitor help desired- spoilers inside

2013-03-17 Thread Ibrahim Gucukoglu
Hi Everyone.

I’ve gotten so far with the inquisitor game but I appear to be stuck at the
town scene. I have just arrived at the doomed town and have found a corpse
which I have examined, however I cant seem to do anything with the corpse,
there are no objectives and calling for divine help doesn’t have any affect
except redirecting me to examine the corpse again which I have done, following
all the prompts. If anyone has any suggestion as to where to proceed from here
I’d be grateful.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Mike.

If you're talking about the key to the secret library, you'll find that the
guard has the answer, however there is lots you need to do before you deal
with him. The divine help actually does each move you need to do in
sequence, so if you are being taken to the lada then there is something
you'll need to do before you can deal with the guard etc. etc..

All the best, Ibrahim.

there is applevis.

Most of them topical so chances are you should be able to find what

Re: [Audyssey] iPhone

2013-03-17 Thread goshawk on horseback
first, I attended a few RNIB phone watch events, where I got a lot of good
hands on with it.
by the time I actually got my 4S, I could get round most things fairly
easily, especially as I got a lot of help from a friend who also had one, so
generally what I didn't know, I got from there.
finally, there is a very good audio book, getting started with the iPhone,
which I got as a backup, but by the time I got it, didn't really need that
much.
hope this helps.

first, I attended a few RNIB phone watch events, where I got a lot of good
hands on with it.
by the time I actually got my 4S, I could get round most things fairly
easily, especially as I got a lot of help from a friend who also had one,
so

generally what I didn't know, I got from there.
finally, there is a very good audio book, getting started with the iPhone,

much.
hope this helps.

[Audyssey] Inquisitor update.

2013-03-17 Thread michael barnes

Hello.
Two information for you all that I recieved from the developer of the
Inquisitor.

The strong box and coffin does not have anything in them.
They are just for looks and to confuse the player.
The game will have a update that will be release sometime this week.
The update will fix the issue where after you have examine the dead
body you can go further in the game.

It will also fix some other bugs with the game aswell.
So if you have made it to the town then you need to wait for the update
to do anything else in the game.
The developer told me to let everyone know that I know that have the
game that he is working on it as fast as possible.
He also said that they are near the end of finishing up the next
chapter, and are in the begining stages of the third chapter.

[Audyssey] Robo-E by MPaja software

2013-03-17 Thread Phil Vlasak

Robo-E by MPaja software.
Robo-E is in charge of cleaning up the galaxy from toxic waste.
But he needs your help as his positronic brain is confused after a nearby
supernova went off.
You must guide Robo-E in pushing all the red waste balls on top of the
yellow energy rings to activate their transfer to hyperspace.
Robo-E brings you the classic game of Sokoban with beautiful graphics and
and intuitive UI.
Includes hundreds of built in levels.
Sokoban originally was a Japanese puzzle that involved moving boxes around a
room.
Without planning several moves in advance you could easily box yourself in.
Robo-E is a spin on this classic puzzle with a Sci-Fi theme.
You play on a grid with walls, Robo-E, your character, balls and energy
rings.
Different levels have different layouts like a 5 by 5 grid, 6 by 6, etc.
You can have more than one ball at a time. you push the balls in the empty
spaces and finally into the energy rings.
Robo-E is playable with Voice Over, so for the ultimate challenge activate
Voice Over from the device settings and play blindfolded, trusting only your
touch and ears.
The three finger swipe to move only works if the user has VoiceOver on.
On the very first level you are above the ball in the starting position. The
energy ring is below the ball. So you just need to swipe down. :)
Both you and the ball are blocked by the walls.
Once a ball is in an energy ring, you can't move over it.
Often you in fact need to push a ball away from an energy ring temporarily
in order to get access to another ball.
Or sometimes a ball sits on an energy ring already at the beginning of a
level,
but must be moved away, temporarily, to end up on another energy ring.
Only in the end all the energy rings need to be occupied to complete the
level.
Once a ball is against a wall it can not be moved off it, but can be moved
along it.
So if a ball and energy ring are on the same wall, only that ball can go in
that energy ring, even if there is another ball closer to the ring.
If you move a ball to the corner, there is no way to get it out from there,
except by undoing the move.
Even though the rules are simple, the locations of the walls, balls and
rings make the game almost as complicated as chess.
This type of puzzle is very challenging, and your success like in a chess
game, will depend on how many moves ahead you can store in your mind.
version 1.4 released March 16, 2013 added new sounds and support for Game
Center. And Translations to Finnish, French, Italian, Portuguese.
There is now a different sound for moving one square, going over multiple
squares, pushing the ball, pushing the ball over ring, trying to push a ball
that cannot move, and bumping into walls.
Game Center support is also there for high-score tracking.

Re: [Audyssey] Robo-E by MPaja software

2013-03-17 Thread dark
This is quite an interesting idea since I see this as a real use for the
touch screen.

I am a fan of graphical sokoban puzzles, and have been playing them for
several years when i want a real brain resting break, however I've neer
really seen how they could be made accessible without some sort of very
extensive overview function, sinse you are essentially talking about a
spacial overview puzzle, where it's necessary to get a ful idea of where
your character, the walls, the items which need to be moved and the spaces
you must move them on to are before you do anything.

Even with row and column overview functions the way chess games on the
computer have, I've never really been convinced of how possible such games
would be just using audio.

With a touch screen however, this might change since you could gather direct
spacial information about where each item is by moving your finger around
the screen (assuming the developer has an overview mode). This is
particularly the case if the puzzles the developer has created are only 5x5
or 6x6 in size (the ones I have been playing are much larger, about 20 x
30).

I'll be interested to see what people think and might well try this one
myself if there is a free version.

[Audyssey] Storm8 games information

2013-03-17 Thread dark
hello.

As anyone will know who has been around me, I've been a major player of brouser
mmorpgs for about 10 years now. i've heard about these games from storm8, but
thus far the only one I've read extensively about is I mobsters on the
audiogames.net forum. The hole mob mean streets crime genre isn't my thing, but
I've checked applevis and several other games sound quite to my taste,
especially kingdoms live and Pets live, (I might check out vampire or zombi as
well).

Plus of course, the games do need db pages if they are accessible, whether I
choose personally to play them or not, indeed this will give me an excuse to at
least look in on all of them.

so firstly, what are all the storm8 games and what are they roughly about?

Secondly, about podcasts and other materials? i have the demo podcast in two
parts by Raul gillegos which I'm downloading now, but has Raul done anymore (I
checked his site but couldn't find anything).

thirdly, how extensive is the player attacking, do you tend to lose lots of
money from other player attacks? as someone who prefers solo progress to being
constantly interfered with by other players and isn't a massive fan of grouping
or attacking, how much interference from other attacks is there?

More info would be appreciated (though iam going to go and listen to Raul's
demo now).

All the best,

Re: [Audyssey] Storm8 games information

2013-03-17 Thread Shadow Dragon
The ones I played were fairly boring, they're all basically clones of each
other with different missions based on the settings. You click the same
button over and over to do a mission to build up experience, money and such,
you buy items and units to unlock new missions, there's no text describing
the mission or what you actually did, it just says your mission was
successful, and there's a pretty large PVP element. I can't remember if
there's penalties for being attacked but I do know it's a large part of the
game. They also tend to be fairly donation heavy. Basically, think of it as
Dragon Tavern without the unique classes and with a couple more options
aside from exploring.

Re: [Audyssey] Robo-E by MPaja software

2013-03-17 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Dark,
Indeed there is a review screen feature. By running your finger over the
screen the type of cell is announced and what is in it.

For the first three levels a hint is given as to what you can do.
So running across a 5 cell grid at level 4, you could hear,
wall, empty, Robo-e, ball, energy ring, empty, wall.
In this case swiping three fingers to the right would push the ball into the
ring.
As you go up in levels the grid gets larger. So far at level 13 I think it
is 8 by 9 but I might be wrong as my wife mostly plays it.
There is no free version and I have seen the price vary from $1 US to $2
US.

With a touch screen however, this might change since you could gather
direct spacial information about where each item is by moving your finger
around the screen (assuming the developer has an overview mode). This is
particularly the case if the puzzles the developer has created are only
5x5 or 6x6 in size (the ones I have been playing are much larger, about 20
x 30).

I'll be interested to see what people think and might well try this one
myself if there is a free version.

You'll never know if you don't try. Besides, I don't think that Phil would

Re: [Audyssey] Robo-E by MPaja software

2013-03-17 Thread dark
Well Phil that is what I thought, though whether that is enough of an
overview to get a clear impression of everythig that is in the grid I don't
know, particularly since the layouts of some sokoban puzzles can be very
complex, and require understanding of the entire playing area.

I'll wait and see people's thoughts on this one before I commit cash, since
I couldn't play this graphically on a screen as small as my Iphone and I
will freely admit reviewing and memorizing grid patterns in audio when you
can only get limited information is not something I'm good at, one
reason I don't play any audio solitare or sudoku games, let alone chess (I'd
need a tactile board).

Hi Dark,
Indeed there is a review screen feature. By running your finger over the
screen the type of cell is announced and what is in it.

For the first three levels a hint is given as to what you can do.
So running across a 5 cell grid at level 4, you could hear,
wall, empty, Robo-e, ball, energy ring, empty, wall.
In this case swiping three fingers to the right would push the ball into
the ring.
As you go up in levels the grid gets larger. So far at level 13 I think it
is 8 by 9 but I might be wrong as my wife mostly plays it.
There is no free version and I have seen the price vary from $1 US to $2
US.

Re: [Audyssey] Storm8 games information

2013-03-17 Thread dark
Sean, I'm a little confused what you mean by class of gamers there and what
this actually has to do with storm8 games, all I meant as that I'd like to
hear from a fan of the games since people obviously enjoy them, indeed
having now heard Raul's demo I'm interested to know how the pets live game
differs from the others.

As to your assessment, it strikes me as a little unfair. Some people just
prefer simple games, others lack certain abilities. Myself, as I just said
in my reply to phil's message though I'm a fairly serious game player I do
not have good spacial logic or comprehention, meaning grid based games with
multiple elements where only limited views of the grid are found in audio
such as solitare or suodku (let alone chess or even draughts), are not that
easy for me.

As regards mainstream games, well I wouldn't personally regard it as
levels of ggamers or anything like that, just people's patience and
expectations. It is possible to learn anything if you take the time with it
and invest the energy. That is really the point in the db deffinition about
access however, how much energy is reasonable to invest in a game.

Myself, having played game svisually, while I am! used to expending more
effort in playing a graphical game, I do like to at least have a vague idea
what is going on, seeing the difference betwene my character and their
surroundings etc, thus for me at least, playing mainstream games by sound is
just an exercize in frustration, but obviously for others with more
patience, or without my initial expectations that is not the case, heck
I've met people with my! level of site who do not expend the effort playing
even the graphically simpler more retro games that I do since they do not
want the effort of having to guess what object is what, learn menues and
other screens etc.

Remember games are a hobby, and therefore a matter of choice, if a person
hasn't heard of accessible games and only! been introudced to board or card
games, that is what they will expect until they are shown differently, the
rest is up to them.
