This is almost certainly an x86 to x64 issue.
It appears that the program itself was compiled for x64 machines only, but
the installer did not have that check built in.
Thus you could install the game to an x86 machine, even though you couldn't
run it.
There is no way to resolve this issue without a game update.

I'm guessing you didn't read the manual. It says each mission, the only
exception being the party, has an exit that you can use whenever you wish.
It's on the left side. Walk uup to it and press Shift+Enter. As for your
money you don't raise it all in one session. The part I'm not lear about is
robbing vaults and getting allies. I've tried both levels and it sounded
like I broke down a few doors but nothing seemed to happen afterwards.

Hi John,
You are incorrect.
I have a 32 bit Vista computer and the game works perfectly.
So it is probably an XP problem.

Love the sounds and action but it should be called a side scroller.
I didn't read the instructions yet but found using left and right arrow keys
for movement and hitting the space bar for attacks worked.
I like the idea that you can name yourself anything in the game.
The sounds and music were great!

This is almost certainly an x86 to x64 issue.
It appears that the program itself was compiled for x64 machines only, but
the installer did not have that check built in.
Thus you could install the game to an x86 machine, even though you
couldn't

run it.
There is no way to resolve this issue without a game update.

Hi Dark,

Well, as it so happens I have an older XP laptop I just recently
refurbished which I can try the game out on. I'll let you and everyone
else know my experience when I get a chance to try the game on it. I
suspect it has nothing to do with XP but some weird error where the
operating system isn't recognizing the program as a 32-bit program for
some strange reason.

Cheers!

2015-04-27 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi John,
You are incorrect.

[Audyssey] another kid friendly game for iDevices

2015-04-27 Thread Charles Rivard
Blindfold Cryptogram is a fully accessible Cryptogram game for both sighted and
visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.

Blindfold Cryptogram comes with 5 assorted Cryptogram quotes by famous people -
categories include age, change, computers, being cool and education - and the
game is entirely controlled through gestures. It doesn't require voice-over but
is fully compatible with voice-over. More puzzles are available as an in-app
purchase.

The Cryptogram puzzle board is not visible; instead, you play by listening.
Flick left and right to move one letter at a time, and hear the encrypted
letter. Swipe with 2 fingers to move one word left, or one word right. Swipe up
to hear the entire encrypted puzzle, and your solution.

You can enter your solution for each letter three different ways- using a
Bluetooth keypad, using the alphabet at the bottom of the screen, or using a
popup keypad. The popup keypad also provides buttons for getting hints, and a
frequency table.

You can customize the game to your liking: how much extra information is spoken
and how quickly it is spoken.

Blindfold Cryptogram was suggested at a meeting in the Boston area with several
blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Racer and wanted to see more games in the
same style - audio games that were equally accessible for visually impaired and
sighted people, ensuring sighted people don't have any advantages by seeing the
screen. In Blindfold Cryptogram , the screen is dark.

 Hi Ishan,

Yes, you should be able to play Entombed 1 and Entombed 2 side by
side. Entombed 2 gets installed to different location than Entombed
1, and do not conflict in any way.

As far as I understand when Entombed 2 is released it will be a paid
upgrade since it is a completely new rewrite of the game with
different level maps, some new content, and in many ways an altogether
 different product from Entombed 1.

As for your question about jobs like barbarians and brawlers that
doesn't apply just yet. This is only an early alpha, and not
everything is implemented like jobs and so on. We'll have to se when
Jason gets that far with the development.

 Cheers!

Hi,

vaults and prison door need some beating up with a melee weapon before
they really break. When you break a vault the money is just there for
you to take. When you break a prison door, the prisoner runs to your
base, so you have to get out of the prison and check your base to find him.

Re: [Audyssey] Psychostrike error

2015-04-27 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Stephen,

Correct. I at first tried it on XP to get the error that the
application isn't a 32-bit application. To test that I installed it on
another laptop running a 32-bit version of Windows 7 and got the same
error. Conclusion, is that the game was compiled exclusively for
64-bit machines which would explain why it works on my Toshiba with a
64-bit version of Windows 7 but not on the Compaq with the 32-bit
version of Windows 7 or the XP laptop. ?Fortunately, this should be
easy to fix and only require that the compiler recompile it as a
32-bit application.

Cheers!

Am I correct in thinking that, if the game is compiled for 64 bit machines
only, the fix would be just a few, if not only one, changes? If so, I can
see how that would have been overlooked.

Hi Dark,

Well, what I'm seeing here it is not a Microsoft problem. Microsoft
may or may not be bastards, but this issue has nothing to do with
them. It looks to me like someone compiled the game for the wrong CPU
type, probably thinking they would compile it for 64-bit machines,
which is causing an incompatibility with older systems like XP. At
least that is my theory.

All I know for certain is it doesn't work on my laptop running XP
either, and I also got the same error with a laptop running Windows 7.
Both were 32-bit and had errors. However, when I tried it on a newer
Toshiba with a 64-bit processor and OS it ran fine. So my conclusion
the problem is the game not the operating system is at fault here. Not
to mention the guys at VG Storm are new at this so are bound to make
mistakes.

Cheers!

recompile the game correctly for older 32-bit operating systems.

Hi Damien,

Strange. I'm not sure what is going on with this game then. I had
problems with it on two different operating systems both being 32-bit
but you are saying it runs fine on 32-bit. That really throws a wrench
in my theory about it being compiled for 64-bit since if my theory
were correct it wouldn't run on any 32-bit system. Definitely
puzzling.

Cheers!
