Re: [Audyssey] alter aeon request
Hi josh. I don't think any mud will be like minecraft, since a major reason for minecraft is mining different bricks and building things in three dimentions with them, rather like lego bricks. I don't think any mud would have that. Alteraeon does have some cool crafting though and more is being added, I love brewing. No mining as yet. if you want a mud with fun mining try clok, though again that's more realistic mining where you find ores and smelt them like minecraft. Alteraeon is great for all the other reasons though, oh and yes, mushZ is being updated, I think the last update was in december. [Audyssey] alter aeon request
hey since I have not played alter aeon in 6 to 9 months I know I will have to make a new character that's fine though. but my question is 1. is the mush z sounds still being updated and 2. are there mineing quests in the game now, or yet? and can we do stuff with lava like mine it let it cool and make stuff with it, get metal and forge or craft our own items and stuff? that would be cool if parts of alter aeon could become like minecraft sort of like the real popular game sighted folks are into playing. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] A Hero's Call, an Accessible Windows game Under development.
Paul, you have a good point. I think it's important to note, though, that this isn't exactly a role reversal... the developers have been transparent about making this inclusive from the very beginning, so luckily, it's not an audiogame first with graphics slapped on... it was designed from the beginning to involve sighted players as well as those who would play it audio only, which I think is awesome. Ah, thanks for the tip Chris. Wish I'd've known that before a lot of the good rewards ran out! hehe. But this doesn't change the amount I am going to pledge, as I fully believe in what this company is trying to do. Re: [Audyssey] A Hero's Call, an Accessible Windows game Under development.
Ah good point, it would be interesting to know how much detail will go into the graphics since it seems quite a big and deep game and I imagine coding graphics to it would be a seriously big task since it was designed for the blind in an audio setting. The interesting thing will be the role reversal of what is often talked about on here which is how difficult is it to convert a sighted game to a visual game, as now this company is trying the exact opposite and trying to make an audio game accessible to the sighted, I wonder if that in itself is just as big a task. Not many hybrid games have been made. Bar sonnar the only ones made that had any success were the blind eye, first demonstration of 3d audio and teraformas which while there are some issues shows you what one of these should be like. Sonnar is doing a lot of this sort of thing but we will see what is next. Re: [Audyssey] Door in lava tunnels area on Alteraeon
I'd really rather not do that, I am not a fan of grouping at all, I'd prefer to be able to solve things myself. All the best, Dark. Due to Btinternet being inconvenient, this email address will not be in use for very long. Please contact me on my other public address, d...@xgam.org. When I have a new private address, I will let everyone know. - Original Message - From: "Jude DaShiell"To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Friday, January 13, 2017 9:16 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Door in lava tunnels area on Alteraeon Maybe you could group with someone who has lockpicking skills and they could open the door for you then recall out of there. That's if lockpicking has a chance of working. I think that's why grouping is possible in alteraeon so those with essential skills can help solve problems like this for people without necessary skills. I'm afraid the door that I mentioned before with respect to the knock spell debarcle annoyingly seems to be the one I actually need to get through for the quest, since I think I've been everywhere else in that dam drow city, however my knock spell just isn't cutting it with that door. Any chance a key could please be added? It's the metal door to ne from the acute corner. I took a quick look around the web site, but only saw the trailer and a link to the kickstarter page. Do they do a guided demo of the game? What I mean, is there someone playing the game while the developer explains things here and there? So, regarding the movement system, is it similar to Manamon's, i.e. pushing the up arrow moves the character north, the left arrow moves west, and so on? How does it actually work? The movement, I mean? What about random encounters? How long are they making the game? If you cannot answer these questions, then fair enough, but I am probably going to contribute, but want to know what I am getting into. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
