Hi gang. I have discovered the problem and it should be fixed now. I
don't know how it happened to begin with, but it should be ok now.

From my end, simply removing the javascript code which is towards the

end of the index.html files, should do.

It appears to be using iframe's to go to a malicious website. There
are 2 website's, that seem to work with each other. For example,
subdomain.notgiven.ws will link to
subdomain.notgiven.gd/privatezone/?numbers. (I have omitted these
URL's in case of accidental clicking.)

I remember Raul Gallegos owning other site's: asmodean.net and
raulgallegos.com. Both of them containing the same Javascript code.
Typing a broken link in Apache gives you some server details, and they
all seem to be hosted on the same server. Perhaps that's the problem.

HTH.

well I did a virus scan and general spyware and other cleanup and nothing was
found apart from the nasties I found yesterday so unless avg has not detected
anything or spybot I am ok.
I have limited protection with spywareblaster, though I admit its only 1

Hi,
Yup. Just removing the malicious Javascript code fixes it.
Unfortunately, audyssey.org made it's way to Google Chrome's

we obviously see it's faults.

Hi,
Sorry, I ment Google's malware blacklist. If you search Audyssey, the
4th result is audyssey.org. Google says, This site may harm your
computer. Being on a Google malware blacklist also means the website
being blocked by Google Chrome.

Google partners with stopbadware.org. You can remove your site from
these malware listings by going to:

Hi,
Yes, Avast gave me this warning when I went to the site to check it out
after what you said:

avast! Warning
A Trojan Horse Was Found!
There is no reason to worry, though. avast! has stopped the
malware before it could enter your computer. When you click on the
Abort connection button, the download of the dangerous file will
be canceled.
File name: http://www.audyssey.org/
Malware name: JS:Bulered [Trj]
Malware type: Trojan Horse
VPS version: 090729-1, 07/29/2009

It has been infected, it wasn't just your computer. But Windows users are
safe if they have a scanner installed just like your Mac does.

Hey all,

Just wondering if any Mac or windows users had been to this site? Had
maybe the site changed? I haven't been paying much atention to the list
as of late.

So after not receiving any messages for a few hours today, I went to the
audyssey.org website and Safari came up giving me a spyware warning.
Regardless if it doesn't happen for Windows users, Macs should check this
out too. Who knows, maybe I've got an exploit on my system. And there's
one problem about that--I don't know which program, if any, would fix
such a thing.

And now I'm just a little concerned to go on it with my windows
machine...

Re: [Audyssey] Audyssey.org hit with Malware?

Hi orin,
Thanks for reporting this. I've just taken a look at Audyssey.org
myself, and a trojan horse attempted to infect my system. So I recommend
everyone stay clear from the web site until Raul or myself can fix the
problem.

Thanks.

2009-07-30 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Raul,
No the web site is definitely not safe. I just went over to audyssey.org
and Avast came up with an alert that I was downloading a trojan horse.
Avast killed the trojan horse, but if someone was visiting the web site
without good anti-virus protection they certainly would get infected. So
this situation is extremely serious.

Re: [Audyssey] Audyssey.org hit with Malware?

2009-07-30 Thread Ryan Smith
Hi,
I am sighted myself. I am not aware of Chrome being inaccessible, but
since it's a relatively new browser, that may very well be the case. I
apologize if it is. Chrome has some decent Javascript tools in it that
can let us know a bit more about this.

HTH.

hmmm.
weird.
on ie 6 this works well.
you will also get a spyware warning if you have issues with a site on ie8 or
the site crashes it self.
On that note users should probably update as last month with all the security
issue with ms they killed some activex systems unfortunately this lead me to
having issues loading shockwave and flash for some games which I got fixed the
long way round that is going on the adobe site.
Some sites like ms gaming zone locked the computer and simply after that you
went to that site and well your system just locked and after that well not
really good after that.
Ms released updates to the vc 05 and 08 libs and ie v6 through 8 which fixes
the security holes that caused the activex kill and this version update of
whatever it was fixes everything again.
I do notice audyssey uses google and when opening it a couple extra links
click to but I have not had any spyware appear from that site.
