Re: [Audyssey] MUD clients with NVDA

2014-02-11 Thread shaun everiss

well mushclient is one.
I have however got the mush-z client for alterian.
I have then updated it with the latest mush client by installing it
over top or extracting and coppying the installer files with 7zip.
The good part about mush z is that all of the libs for access are
included with the engine.

mush-z can be gotten at either
www.mush-z.com
or www.blindsoftware.com
At least blindsoftware is now mush-z which is a powerfull mud engine
and although not bsc games its worth the title of blindsoftware.

[Audyssey] MUD Clients for iOS Devices

2012-07-05 Thread Kelly Sapergia

Hi,

I see there are a couple MUD clients for iOS devices: TMC Game Client, which
is free, and Pocket MUD Pro, which is about $3.00. I was just wondering if
anyone's used any of these clients to play MUDs, and if so, which one is the
best? If I were to get one of these, I'd probably use my Bluetooth keyboard,
since I'm sure using the on-screen keyboard would be a hassle, especially if
you have to type something quick.

Thanks.

Hi,

This is interesting, I just went to search for the TMC client, but can't
find it. I found a link about it at www.applevis.com/, but the link they
give for the App Store just brings up a page about iTunes. I hope it's only
temporary, but am guessing it's no longer available.

Thanks.

[Audyssey] Mud clients?

2009-01-05 Thread lelia
You know what i wish?
I wish that there would be some either reviews or trailers of mud clients so
that teknically challenged people who want to play muds with clients could
understand how to use the client? I've read some of both the alder client and
the vip mud client manual and I just don't get how to start or even where to
begin.

Lelia:

If you would like help with VIP I can offer some as well as mush client. I
have used mush client before and currently use VIP and love it.

I know enough to be scary though I guarantee there are some out here who are
true experts with this type of material.

[Audyssey] Mud Clients was Re: Mac Mud clients

2008-01-27 Thread Orin
I changed the subject line to reflect the posts, because everyone
started discussing windows based clients again. Sadly I think I'm the
only one who likes mudding and has an interest but also has a Mac as
well. Somehow, we must make muds accessible for us VoiceOver users,
because I'm starting to miss it. Muds being read with the system
speech and unable to control it is certainly not mudding.

Re: [Audyssey] MUD clients for Vista which are accessible

2008-01-01 Thread Stefen Hudson
Hi Michael,

I had this very same problem when I tried installing MonkeyTerm and speech
libraries. What fixed it was the GMA Solitaire game at gmagames.com. For
whatever reason, it was able to install the necessary dll and dependencies.

Just for reference, the VBScript code makes use of jfwapi.dll in order to
interface with JAWS. You can't use regsvr32 to register jfwapi.dll directly.
The GMA Solitaire game will register all needed files for jfwapi.dll to
work.

Re: [Audyssey] mud clients.

2007-04-16 Thread Niko C
Monkeyterm is not the best client. Mushclient is the best one thAT I know
of. THere is a plugin that interfases with jfw and I'm pretty sure one can
be built to interfase with window eyes and Sapi. It has better trigger
support, it is more stable and you can just do way more with it! The only
sound pack that randylaptop.com has for you is the pack for godwars2 which
in it self is not a good mud.

When I used Mushclient regularly, I didn't bother with a JFW plugin
but roled my own script for it. Actualy, it's the same script I use
for the default Windows telnet interface. It's amazing how well, with
a little tweek to Mushclient here and there, that script works. Of
course, since all my games of choice have long since closed, I
haven't bothered using any MUD client in almost a year. But it's
still kicking around on here.

I use mushclient. It was shareware and you had to buy it but now it is
freeware and with no limmitations! There is a plugin that will output it's
contents to the jfw api. You can make advanced triggers. It really is a good
mud client. But if anyone knows, is there a way that I can run multiple
commands betwene semicolons? The mud that I plays gives a lot of directional
commands like run se4e;open s;run nw and I have to go into notepad and
then it line by line. Quite anoying.

Re: [Audyssey] mud clients.

The thing with a lot of blind people is that they use a lot of software that
other blind people use because they know it's safe. You should feel free to
explore and see what else is outthere and figure out if it is accessible
yourself instead of asking. I'm not complaining I'm simply giving advice to
find better software. Monkeyterm is a mudclient that a lot of blind people
use. If you go to randylaptop.com and go to the mud section, he'll explain
it all to you in detail how to make it accessible. I do stress however to
use mushclient at mushclient.org. If that's not right I'[ll look for it and
send the URL and the plugin to interfase with jfw. It truly is a better
client.

Hi, muds are multiuser dungeons. You login online to a mud game with a
mud client, and play the games via a text based interface. They have a

 Hi Rich

A mud client is a program such as teraterm or gmud used to connect to the
game server. Most work pretty good with JFW. I personally use Gmud32.
It's pretty easy to set up and once you get the hang of it easy to use.

Hi Orin or anyone who can answer this question,
I am not sure what is meant by a mud client? Could anyone explain this
 further?
 Thanks for the help

Well, the mud has no website, but the link to connect when you get a mud
  client once again is
  assault.wolfpaw.net 6600

Hope this helps, at least somewhat.

A mud client is a way to connect to, and play muds.

A good one is monkey term, which can be found on Sean Randal's mudding
  section at www.randylaptop.com/mudding

Also, to a question that was asked earlier. you have to make the mud
session, and open the actual XML first. Then, proceed to import it into
that
mud. After you press enter on import, jaws should say Jaws speech ready.
You
can then connect and have speech output.

  Hope this helps.

  Orin

2006-04-11 Thread matt
It is what you use to connect to the mud world. It is just the program that
allows you to open the mud as it were like microsoft word opens up word
documents.

2006-04-11 Thread Richard Sherman
Hi matt and Ron,
I think I understand but am still a little fuzzy. When is something like
this necessary? Can you give an example?
If I go to the website and follow their directions on creating a character,
do I still need a mud client? Or does the client just help me connect
easier? I really appreciate all the help.

Rich
