There are also character voices from cepstral, like a dog, or a whisper,
and they are 6 dollars.

both synths I think are sapi 5x compatible so should have no issue running on

If you are thinking about loading on anything else below xp there is the sapi
5 packages you need to download I think win98 is the earliest you can load
 these on.

 Hi John,
Smile. Oh, i know that, but I am really looking for something

 much more

human/realistic for the Tomb Hunter series. Besides FreeTTS is a

 Java

based TTS Engine and the Tomb Hunter series is written in C#. If

 I were

going to go through the difficulty of writing a .NET wrapper for

 a

speech system I'd likely do it for something like the Cepstral

 voices or

 E-Speak.
 Cheers.

Re: [Audyssey] OT: sepstral and e-speak voices was Cross Platform Speech Support

2009-01-25 Thread Bryan Peterson
Actually it's www.cepstral.com. You can't actually get them from Nextup. And
they cost about thirty bucks per voice. The difference is that you actually
register the voices like you do most audio games, and it's really easy to
retrieve your license numbers if you should happen to lose them. I don't
know if they're machine specific though.
