Re: [Audyssey] question about william lomas.
Ofcause I know its not legal to pirate games. I meant no idsrespect here. some of the games mentioned have gone through so many revisions, montisumers return is quite old, I never said that piracy was legal at all. I do understand where you are coming from with shades of doom, however even so. Even if there is a lagit hacker going out there point is even though there are laws against it a lot of alegal activity goes on on torrent sites. Again I am not saying anything against torrent sites but the fact a user was on one of them searching for something is itself something of a concern. I know a lot of people have setup files of this and that, I see requests for this on the forums. The fact ishen was on a torrent site where pirated stuff is out there is another question that should be asked. Since the laws in my country against piracy, torrents though themselves not alegal are not a safe place to go anymore. and I have no idea what to think at this point. Shaun, SighYes, Montezuma's Return is old, but as I said in a prior message age has absolutely nothing to do with it. Just because something is old does not make it legal to pirate, crack, and pass around the game. The only reason I myself am not worried about it is because the game is abandoned and I have no plans to profit from it, and can't due to copyright issues. Therefore its no skin of my back if people hack and crack it. Otherwise I'd be pretty upset. Hi lisa hayes. mam go tpb and see the cracks. as far as the account system which is said by Mr shaun everis it is more secure but the game quality is reduced because the game cracker will crack only famous and qualitative games so he cracked shades of doom 1.2 Thanks Ishan On 9/20/14, Thomas Ward thomasward1...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Shaun, Not sure what you mean by there have been so many games of that type. No William lomas didn't crack the game the cracker is Michal batin But When I read the TXT file he wrote the name of William lomas and in the second line he wrote the key. the big question is how he knows this person On 9/18/14, Thomas Ward thomasward1...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Ishan, While I don't know William Lomas personally I have seen him on this and other lists over the years. Re: [Audyssey] question about william lomas.
Hi Ishan, To be honest how Michael knows William Lomas is actually irrelevant. Its obvious that William Lomas gave his key out to people somewhere along the way and Michael Batin and others have it and use it to crack the game. However, as I am no longer selling that game, can not profit from it, I'm not too overly concerned here about the cracks floating around. I appreciate the attempt to report this but there is a standard procedure for things like this, and you should generally contact the company or developer directly rather than calling attention to the cracking on a list like Audyssey. Not only can that Sturm up bad feelings between list members you will in all likely hood end up being labeled a tattle tale or worse by people involved in the piracy. So its generally a good idea to handle situations like this privately off list rather than publicly. Cheers! Re: [Audyssey] question about william lomas.
Hi Shaun, You are obviously misinformed. I'm not sure what you mean by nothing to crack since Montezuma's Return, the game in question, had a name and key registration system that can be easily cracked given a matching name and key. I didn't use a very strong security system on that game as I didn't have the time to develop a better one, but all the same it had a registration system and can be cracked. Hi Ishan, Well, if you know him to be passing around cracks for Shades of Doom then the proper thing to do is to contact GMA Games directly. Talking about it here on Audyssey may indirectly get back to David Greenwood, but you may kick off an argument or get considerable hate mail directed your way by exposing these people on list. Re: [Audyssey] question about william lomas.
Hi Ishan, While I don't know William Lomas personally I have seen him on this and other lists over the years. That said, before you accuse him of cracking Montezuma's Return are you sure he is cracking the game? I know a number of people legally purchased that game back in 2008, when it was on sale, and got legitimate product keys. I'd have to go back through my records, something I don't have time for at this second, to see if William Lomas purchased a valid product key, but even if he didn't Montezuma's Return is effectively abandonware anyway. So I'm not concerned about cracking at this point. Cheers!
