Re: [Audyssey] an amuzing final conflict case

2010-09-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Petr,
Lol! That is funny. I've had things like that happen a time or two
myself. It is kind of funny having two starbases slugging it out
against one another. That kind of fight doesn't usually happen often.
Actually, it doesn't happen at all in v2.0 which is being developed
off and on between work on MOTA.

cardassian, but, moving this kind of far of a starbase would be very
unproductive now wouldn't it? also, I really don't think the cardies would
like me phasering it down now would they? too bad, I suppose. I am going to
 do it anyways. smile.

Okay perhaps I'm a tad slow on this. But can you actually move the bases in
the current version? I never thought to give it a try. Time to kick some
serious backside if it's possible.

Re: [Audyssey] an amuzing final conflict case

2010-09-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Ron,
Lol! No, you can't actually move the starbases in STFC. What Petr and
I are talking about is in STFC 1.2 the Starbases are randomly placed
on the starmap the same as the starships. However, one problem I found
by doing this as that sometimes starbases are randomly placed too
close to the boarders of their home space and are close enough to
shoot at each other. This obviously runs into some interesting matches
were the starbases are shooting across the neutral zone at each other.
Unfortunately, this is no contest because there are no restrictions
how many torpedos a Starbase can fire in one tern, and you can blow
the enemy starbase away in a single turn.
Cheers!
