you talking about the race where you don't really have to turn? I was
fighting with my friend who can change the gears better, though when he was
cleaning my keyboard I drove slow to listen to the engine sound. it was
really cool and when you were going fast you didn't see things like the
drastic sound change of the engines when you throttled up. I just wish top
speed would let you have separate sounds foe different gears and a separate
idle, that'd let me do some decent cars as I have a lot of sounds that my
friend gathered up from his games and sent me when I was at scool.

Yeah. The honda civic actually sounds like a real honda civic with
performance exhaust (in other words a rice rocket, rofl).

I miss my ps2, it had the coolest sounding cars in nfsu.

Except that if I'm not mistaken Need for Speed, at least some of them, have
policemen chasing you and the game ends if you get caught. Or maybe that's
Grand Theft Auto.

Re: [Audyssey] audio games are close to video games

2009-08-10 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Michael,
If you haven't checked it out, my company tries to keep an updated list of
free and commercial games for the blind at,

http://www.pcsgames.net/game-co.htm

I am working on an update to an audio game I call,
Sarah and the castle of witchcraft and wizardry.
It is the story of an American teenager sneaking into the Hogwarts castle
during the Summer Holidays.
It has been on sale for several years, but because of the increased interest
in all things Harry Potter due to the Half-Blood Prince, I am adding many
new things to do and items to use.
Two of the things you will be able to do is to brew a Love potion and a
Luck potion.

hi michael,
I am the same way, used to be an avid video gamer before I lost my site
entirely. playing audio games is great, it takes my mind off stuff and the
times I feel sorry for myself have become lesse and less. hang in there, it
will get easier and enjoy the games to come!
