Don't really care for the theme my self, prefer sl which is general
purpose. Still at least this is something.

Most people are at least trying mainstream games, or attempting to.
Wanna know why? Think about this. When in audio games did we have the
last "big" rlease? Rail Racer which, as of now was released a year
ago. Heck, I don't even know what the last big release was. Been so
long.

want to stay with audio games.
The mainstream have not got it right yet not that they are at least
trying.

Re: [Audyssey] sl accessibility contact details

2008-09-25 Thread shaun everiss
No idea.
I used it on my pc with 2gb of ram but although it shows potentual I am not
impressed although I tried it twice making sure I understood things.
I had issues with getting a username to work and then to actually when I got
one working, ie it didn't error and returned to the dialog to login for
whatever reason the passwords and the userids did not match also unlike other
software there is no indication you are typing in your username or password.
when in single mode you can look up down left and right and lock on to targets
but there is no indication of what you locked on to ie I just keept going in
circles.
On the missions where there are smoke gobs there is no que to actualy tell you
you are in range of a gob or are actually in danger at all.
Some targets like in the wind mission ie the start part is shown as a giant
pipe, but there is almost nothing that actually says exactly what something is
until you lock on and after that once you know what something is you seem to
lose it again unless you find it again, also after you talk to say a char you
can continously do that untill you are bored to death.
There is no object locator or target radar.
Also there seems to be no documentation as such, a teacher guide yess, and
lessons, a manual and tip guide if you can even call them complete are small in
size and are not much use although you can get some idea of the game.
This game is a hybrid but even though its accessible either it wasn't fully
accessible to start off with or the docs for it are just that bare bones.
or both, who knows.
I am always happy to get this stuff done, mainstream with blind and others in
mind and at least they seem to fix this some what.
However half the time I have no idea what I am doing, but maybe this type of
game is new to me.
It would be good if an experienced player of such games actually did a cast on
it or other type as this may be better than nothing.
I have great concerns for this thing though.
Its a good idea, but it seams far from complete.
Its accessible alright but seems incomplete.
The keyboard commands, and things are simple enough to grasp so are the
objectives but betwene what I am not told and the docs there really is not much
to go on.
you need to get the docs seperately to and well.
You however do need a reasonable heafty vidcard to get this to work right.
And after the main system got struck down with a virus I'm not about ready to
even suggest to its user to put more stuff there.
