Re: Help to get the Wayang project website in shape

2024-01-25 Thread tison
Hi Alexander,

I use Docusaurus for Kvrocks and Fury. Their configuration should be
straightforward to follow already. The most simple one now is
https://github.com/apache/incubator-fury-site.

Also, Docu is well-documented https://docusaurus.io/docs.

I'm thinking of updating the website template [1] with Docu but have
not yet had time and understand which PMC manages this project.

Best,
tison.

Hi Xuanwo,

Thank you, highly appreciated! Do you have any how-to for setting Docusaurus up?

I'm with the OpenDAL Community, and we also lack web designers. Our community
opted for Docusaurus[1], which we found easy to start with and set up. It
offers a decent theme suitable for open-source projects. For reference, you
can check out OpenDAL's homepage[2]. We hope our experience proves useful.

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Pekko(incubating) Connectors 1.0.2-RC1 Inbox

2024-01-25 Thread PJ Fanning
Thanks Tison,

The files with the license header that mentions Akka is put on files
that are derived from Akka. The standard ASF header is put on new
files.

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-626 gives the background
to the Akka header.

+ Download link valid

+ Can build from source with: sbt compile

Find some binary files for testing in the release. While I don't think
it's a release blocker, you may try to generate it on the fly:

./s3/src/test/resources/keystore.jks
./google-cloud-pub-sub-grpc/src/main/resources/GSR2.crt
./file/src/test/resources/nested-sample.tar

Also, I find the license header is something the ASF "standard" one,
but otherwise:

Is there any reason for different styles? How do you check that the
license headers are properly included?

Would anyone have time to review this RC? It includes a few bug fixes that
would be good to get released.

the page in order, including re-organizing and rewriting.

thank you, cheers,
