Re: [Gimp-user] Color Management under gimp 2.4.
I'm using the Netidentity webmail - and it sucks, so sorry for any inconvenience.Try using the PhotoPrint.Unfortunately you can't use xcf files, so you need to save as tiff, or other formatsYou can get it here http://www.blackfiveservices.co.uk/photoprint.shtml mvh Mogens JægerFirst, do you have any suggestions at all about what I might do if Iwant to print with my own printer for which I have a profile? Sincemost users of gimp probably want to do just that, it would be veryhelpful if there were a way to do it. The only way I can think of is toboot Windows XP and use Photoshop, which I would rather not do. ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Hi, On Mon, 2007-12-24 at 12:46 -0600, Leonard Evens wrote: But if I specify another output profile in vuescan, e.g., Adobe RGB, gimp converts to that as expected. It doesn't convert to that profile, it just keeps it and corrects the display appropriately. (I verified that using ImagePropertiesColor Profile.) Now, if I save that image iccdump apparently locates a profile, but then issues the error message Error - 1, icmHeader_read: ICC V4 not supported! That's a problem with the embedded profile and not at all related to GIMP. Or iccdump simply doesn't support version 4 of the ICC color profile specification. This needs support in the printer driver so we leave it up to the people developing these drivers and the printing frameworks to deal with this. GIMP only provides means to access the image's color profile. Hopefully this will be better supported at some point. You will probably find some previous correspondence on this matter when I tried to compile the plug in for 2.4 and couldn't for reasons yet to be determined It was then that it was pointed out to me that there was already a Red Eye removal tool in 2.4 so why was I wasting my time. So, let me suggest you either use your old Gimp with the tool, get the latest Gimp, or do it the hard way, step by step a la script steps Owen ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
[Gimp-user] Christmas card
Hi there. A friend of mine makes his own Christmas cards. Since this year's card was made with the gimp, and it is on his web site, it seemed fitting to post a link here. http://www.garykirby.net/ Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, it's still a nice image.
