Newly minted managers pushing their newly minted engineers to do something they can check off on their to-do lists, because the newly minted teachers in the education system never gave them time to actually understand what they were doing, and instead taught them that was how to make the grade. And I'm already off-topic, but we have to let the engineers and managers learn what they're doing somewhere, so we put up with the churn in the industry. And sometimes useful stuff falls out and sometimes useless stuff fails to get lopped off. Situation normal. Churn. In this case one technology is email. Another is Usenet news. Individual Usenet servers can exclude spam. Nevertheless, Usenet is also unworkable because of spam? I don't think changing to a service many people wouldn't even have heard of is very viable. Even email is not really in use by many people beyond receiving email notifications and password reset mails for accounts they have at various services. Discourse is usable via its web interface and email (you can get notifications and reply by mail, there's even a way to send some commands) - so it seems to cater to a larger group overall. -- Regards, Michael ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list

If the current layer does not have an alpha channel, erasing is roughly equivalent to painting with th ebackground colour from the toolbox (press "d" to restore the toolbo colours to their defaults). If the image is in Index mode rather than in RGB or greyscale mode (check title bar, or Image->Mode) or if anti-erase is set in Tool Options for the erasor, the tool behaves differently. > > Regards, ... Re: [Gimp-user] Re; How Do I Get Gimp to Print A Pic Centered Like It Shows In The Preview
Simplest would be take control of the print position yourself. Create a border around your image so that it's centered and now print borderless. I have watched tutorials again and again, but can not seem to fix this. Thank you for a response. Thanks Alexandre So someone could make a DIV with colored border and percentage width, to insert note boxes, much like WORD accepts multi-author notes, comments.
