Hi Jehan,

Damned Lies uses xgettext for GIMP’s main branch. And the .pot/.po
files seem to have the correct ampersands:

Hi Fina,

Here you go: https://l10n.gnome.org/module/warp/ :)

One nitpick, though: the Chinese Simplified translation file should be
named “zh_CN.po”, and it also doesn’t pass msgfmt -c right now.

Hi Jehan,

Letting us know here or at

Hi,

I tried adding gfeeds: https://l10n.gnome.org/module/gfeeds/ but it

extract strings from these .blp files, since they’re not supported by

Hi Bilal,

We would love to add it, but at the very least, the app needs to be in
the World/ namespace (or even better, GNOME/).

You can see https://l10n.gnome.org/module/gnome-clocks/ uses the main

update Damned Lies when it’s available.

Hi,

Writing here is enough. :) (You can also file an issue against Damned
Lies in the future:

I added Solanum: https://l10n.gnome.org/module/solanum/

It will start working after you merge the MR I just submitted and add

Hi,

We do translate AppData. If a GNOME app doesn’t have AppData
translated, it’s a bug.

The only part of the Metainfo file we don’t expose to translation is
the change log. The consensus is that it would cost us too much
(time/resources etc.) compared to any potential gains.

Hi all,

It’s not a string freeze break, these strings already existed in the

So by “using GTK translations”, you mean copying existing translations

Here is the list of cases covered:

In short, changing an already existing string is as much a break as
adding a new one.

The exception is when a string was not marked for translation by
mistake, and would just always be in English otherwise.

The difference is that xdg-user-dirs-gtk is hosted on GNOME infrastructure,
therefore it’s not in the freedesktop group (which at this point should

Hi Carmen,

I’m 90% sure the string is from the PAM project, which you can
translate at https://fedora.zanata.org/project/view/linux-pam

It would be great for GDM to stop using PAM’s strings, though, as it
is seldom updated and released, and also has bugs that are not fixed

Will you apply today’s fixes on top of this commit?

This is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=673655. We should
advertise that using gtranslator is not recommended.

It looks like a bug in gimp-help or damned-lies. You should report it.

“Members can be added by project Maintainers or Owners”. :P

I know of at least one translator who needs commit access, who I
redirected to you.
