Re: [H] Mozilla Thunderbird question
Steve, You remain yards ahead of me on this one. I'll accept your share. After reboots, CClearner, and, checking my Admin's dt, I just gave up and waited ~2hrs for all the "fluff" to settle. Got lucky. TB312 works now. Best, Duncan On 08/30/2010 19:19, Steve Tomporowski wrote: I *think* that there is probably one .dll that is used by both Tbird and Firefox. Anthony, I am an old Eudora user. TB is vastly different to me. I am still getting used to its' quirks. I think this may be my 2d or 3d experience with OpenSource business, however you choose to define OpenSource. I do updates badly. I over-analyze what I am told to do. My bad. Re: [H] Make up CAT6 cable
Cat6 is rated for more bandwidth (Mhz). The twists might be closer and the copper thicker, but other than that it's the same. If you purchase Cat6 cable and have terminators, you can make your own just the same as you would with 5/5e. Re: [H] multiple NICs
I generally turn one off for my home machine. No driver needs to be loaded for it, thus saving a *little* amount of resources. At work I've used them to bridge subnets, create firewalls, and to bond together for aggregate speed (as has been said). If you have the right swicth, you can "team" the multiple nics into one virtual nic with an aggregate speed. Re: [H] Make up CAT6 cable
I think the differences are the shielding of the wires and all so they can take the higher frequencies. [H] multiple NICs
All my 3 desktop motherboards, both old and new, are high end and all came with multiple Gb NICs. I am not sure why, and have often wondered if there was any use for this other then maybe in a large office with multiple networks, or if you wanted to use your PC as gateway to share a broadband connection.
