Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2 Update Available

2010-01-08 Thread Nightbox
is not this a client side update?

2010/1/8 Robert Whelan mrrjwhe...@yahoo.com

 Ah yes, thx.

I don't get to play much though I see what you mean. I was used to just
hitting primary fire button to do both tasks. Didn't think to try
secondary... I don't remember seeing that change noted other then saying it
 was fixed.

 Thx again...

You do know that primary-fire now swings the bat while secondary-fire hits
 the ball, right?

Re: [hlds] Steam Cloud / Item Loadout Disconnections

2010-01-08 Thread JäKë Rawr

I've also had this issue on my servers and it's a huge pain in the ass.
Having to do a full restart on a server thats full is not a good option, half
the time 90% of people dont' rejoin after you restartit even when you give
a good 5 minute notice.
Please fix this with the next update.

Subject: [hlds] Steam Cloud / Item Loadout Disconnections

My server has been experiencing an issue where it will disconnect from
the Steam Cloud and make unlocked items unavailable, and will never
automatically reconnect itself. The server always requires a full
restart to regain the Cloud connection. This has been happening since
the week before New Year's, usually around mid-evening.

The past few updates have said there were changes to improve this
connection. Is this still a known ongoing issue?

[hlds] Client interp on servers

2010-01-08 Thread Alec Sanger

So I've got a client saying that he wants to set his cl_interp to something
lower than 100, but the servers prevent him from changing it. I'll be honest, I
don't know a damn thing about this interp crap. So my questions are:

Will reducing the client interp cause a hit in performance? What are the
side-effects?
How the hell did I limit it to 100?
Do you limit your interp? What's yours at?

This is for TF2, btw.

Thank you,
Alec Sanger
