It is a purely symbolic point at which IBM might realise that keeping it as 'uncommitted candidate' rather than meeting the RFE is becoming embarrassing. I'm sure you all knew what I meant. Agreed, but it is possible to RYO. I had access to a homegrown version 25 years ago in Saudi Arabia. As to the current question by the OP, why not use some REXX code to issue and trap a console command's output? Then write it out to a temp dsn using LM services that you can browse or edit. Re: HSM Query command
If batch processing, I'd guess you're using IKJEFT01 , I think the output should write to SYSTSPRT ? Re: HSM Query command
Use the OUTTRAP command in a batch REXX program to direct the output to stem variable and print the stem contents. HSM Query command
How do I write the output of the 'hsend q cds' to a dataset for our metric reporting. Query does not have the option to do a ODS('output.dsn.name') so was wondering for our reporting, we want to automate this in a batch job. If anyone has any idea's , please let me know.
