[JAWS-Users] Re: SayAll keystrokes
Hello, just a note on how I fianlly did away with all that hassle. I just set up one hot key for the sappi voice that i wanted to defaut to. That key is the one right above the tab key, don't know the name of it. But i use it to say all in a sappi voice and i don't have to go through all that extra key stroke stuff. To me, FS somehow keeps making things harder and they should know that a say all key is one of the most used keys we got. Why not just keep it simple folks? [JAWS-Users] Re: Accessable burning programs with Jaws 8
Hello back, ok, most blind or partially sighted folks use Nero. It reads ok to pretty good with Jaws 8. You might have someone walk you through if your totally blind, then you can learn the way to move around with key strokes. But, I've run into a problem with text aloud files not fitting onto a cd with Nero, there seems to be a conflict. So I had to get a tech and he taught me by key strokes how to use Media Player to burn files. Now I might get 12 articles on a disk verses 5 and then i burn a master with media play and then use Nero to make as many copies from the master as i need. But if your just going to burn music and simple things, Nero does well. Don't really know aobut other programs and if there are some out there that do a good to great job, please let me know. [JAWS-Users] Re: Voices in JAWS 8 changing?
Ok, this works if you got the sappi 5 voices loaded with jaws. 8. Do an Insert #6 key, this opens the jcf con fig manager. Hold down control plus Shift and the d key to set yor defautl manager to accept the changes. Then hit your Alt plus s key and this opens the file and just go down to the Say All level and hit enter. There you just hit your tab key once and you should land on the dialague box where your different voices reside. Just key down or up to the voice you want and then tab to OK and hit it. You will be taken back to the jcf window. Hit control s to save your changes and that should do it for you. I think i got the right strokes in the right places but if not its pretty close to it. [JAWS-Users] Re: Jaws 8 repeating big-time
Repeating? Was on line to a tech this day and he was checking all my settings and iin the control panel under systems under performance he set one thing to 100 and so mentioned about another thing about cursor ? and said that some people set it above 0 and then all of a sudden the jaws starts to repeat big time. This one thing ? must be left at 0 but can't remember waht it was. Hope you got it fixed. To HTH, this is sort of the same thing that I'm having, the insert down arrow key will not read continiously! It will only read the one line, did everthing to make it work but no go. In the key manager it says that the insert down arrow key is set to work but no go, is there some setting I'm missing?
