Donnie my friend I want you to think a minute about what you just said. You were in the keyboard manager assigning a key stroke to mute JAWS and you have decided to do the same for a another function. It doesn't matter. While those scripts are included, they don't work and never have. You _can_ (as FS already has) assign keystrokes to change the speech _rate_ and _pitch_, but you cannot change the volume on the fly. If you assign keystrokes to the Increase and Decrease Volume scripts, you _will_ hear the appropriate announcements, but that's all that happens.
