This is what I would do. 1 get passed the sound you want to delete 2 press f7 to stop 3 press the start marker 4 press ctrl t to trim off the beginning hth Patti I am using the latest GoldWave version and I am having an editing sound issue. I have a sound file that has a little hiss at the beginning of the sound file which I want to delete. I have the zoom level to the smallest value using shift 1 and I hit the right arrow key then set the start marker and hit the right arrow key again and then set the finish marker. However when I hit the delete key I keep getting the message no sound selected. What should I be doing differently? Thanks. [JAWS-Users] Jaws v12 and manage key labels
Well I have a lot of questions, but let me start with the settings center and manage key labels. I wanted to mute the tab, escape, and return key however, under manage key label it shows zero items. I thought if I merged the settings from v11 that would work but it did not. How can I perform this task in Jaws V12? Thanks. [JAWS-Users] typing from the focus 40 blue
My issue is regarding the new feature to be able to type in grade two on my focus 40 blue and have the output on the PC screen backed translated. Under the settings center in Jaws v12 I have the contracted braille translation set to input and output. However, when I type in Grade two it seems to always get translated into computer braille. Hi all, first of all sorry for subject but i'm need a help verry urgent. I'm try one application and on this app i must drag and drop some files and folders from windows explorer to specific program but i dont get rezults. 1. pozicioning mouse cursor to begining of file, for example song.mp3, and press capslock+shift+8 (laptop keystro) and i hear the message drag object 2. go to specific program find a folder where i need put this file for example mp3 sound and pozicioning mouse on this folder. 3. i'm back to previous folder and again press capslock+shift+8 and i heard strange message draging sound to mp3 sounds... where is rong? [JAWS-Users] JFW 12 virtual ribbon: Am I missing something?
Hello. I've just been listening to a recent FS podcast on JFW12 including the demo of the JFW 12 virtual ribbon for MS office components. Recently I saw a few listers bit discouraging of the virtual ribbon. to me after listening to the demo I feel its awesome as it turns all the ribbons and sub ribbons and the diff menu items within them to be controlled simply with the up/down and right/left arrow keys just like it used to be in Office 03. So if I activate the JFW virtual ribbon I don't have to bother figuring out the tab, enter and arrow commands of the Office 07/10 ribbon if I had the JFW virtual ribbon turned off. Am I missing something or does the JFW virtual ribbon really turn navigating and opening/closing all the menu items in the various office ribbons into a process just like in old 03 menu bars? [JAWS-Users] JAWS 12 and iTune
FYI. I am not having any problem using iTunes with jaws 12. Using window 7 home and new iTune. I was able to play music, check status of my iPhone, go the store and check audio books. Again no issues with jaws 12 and iTune. Also FS released several training for what is new jaws 12 basics of 12 so suggest that people first read everything about jaws 12 and your answers more likely will be answer. I think it is very similar, but I do think using the virtual ribbon is going to take some getting use to again. Friends, I just noticed that when I open the Jaws Interface with Jaws 12 I have an option that I am not sure if it was there or not in previous versions. I am not sure if it was mentioned as instructions for getting to the settings center or not, but if you scroll through the Utilities menu you will come across a settings center. I do recall that the instructions when I read it briefly said to press Jaws key plus f2 to get to these settings. Now my question is there a difference going about it this way rather than the Jaws key plus f2? Will the settings take in all applications going about it this way? I just yesterday fired an email request to FS tech support simply asking for a date of release of the JFW 12 alpha version and they responded saying FS management has not communicated this and it will be some time in the near future. What is the disconnect here? this makes me suspect the purported JFW12 release note by the fellow lister below. Can someone from JFW management or whoever confirm the release of JFW12 alpha and explain why tech support of FS is saying its going to be in the future and not yet? Hi, all. This afternoon, I downloaded jaws 12 and followed all the steps for this, my third version in this sma. When I came in and restarted just now, everything was screwed up so I had to manually shut down and try again. If this stuff happens again, I will return to v. 10, having never gotten around to v. 11, especially after hearing that it wasn't much of a so-called upgrade. I hope this little episode was just a fluke. I just downloaded WLM 2011 and Jaws 12 public 12.0.512. I am using windows 7 64 bit edition home premium. WLM feels a lot smoother with JFW 12 public(navigation with updown arrows). and speech seems more responsive as well. but I do notice that Jaws does not announce whether a message is read or not or whether it has attachments which is somewhat annoying. Also, Jaws does not read all the fields in spellchecker, especially the field that shows what it thinks is misspelled. Again, very annoying. Are these a WLM 2011 issue or a JFW 12 issue?
