Try routing jaws to pc, insert+ num dash. See if that can check it,
or you may have another option to chose to get it available.

Hi,
the latest version is Adobe Reader X.
You need to disable protected view first to get it work well with JFW9.
I have boath JFW 9 and 11 installed and It works great.
I'm using the Hebrew and English versions of JAWS.
Do the following:
1. Open the edit menu.
2. go to prefernces .
If you don't like to do it from the menu, Press control+k in the main window
of Adobe Reader.
3. tab until you find a checkbox called enable protected mode at startup,
and uncheck it.

Then, press yes to continue after the worning.
Then, press OK.
4. Close adobe reader and start it again.
But, if the PDF file has an image and not a text, You will not be able to
read it.

[JAWS-Users] Connecting to a network away from home

2011-01-15 Thread Russ Hubley
Hi everyone,

At home, I am always connected to my home router.

When I am away from home, I have no problem going to the system tray, then
to the sharing center, and then the page that has a list of available
networks. I enter here, but then am a little confused.

After entering on the local network, for example, a hotel's network, I am
uncertain how to tell my computer to remember this so everytime I want to go
back on, I have to go through this process again.

I hope this makes sense, help would be appreciated, simple instructions,
step by step if possible.

Yes,
JFW has this problem when autostarting JFW with the PC.
You can disable that option or, I did an other thing:
I have a little program called JAWS runner.
It will start JFW only after about 50 secunds after the Startup of
Windows.
We, at Israel use this sometimes because We don't have ILM licenses here
and

We need to buy the Dongle versions.
I personally, don't like to start JAWS automatically with my PC.

Adi Kushnir.

It was never claimed that insert spacebar v did anything. Insert v, end

I just tried this after reading the messages and found that insert

nothing
worked as far as turning jaws back on then chose insert space bar s
and

worked as far as turning speech or jaws back on.

There is. The best way to see it is to try one and then the other.
Insert+spacebar is the 'layered scripting' command, and I expecft
we'll

see more commands added to follow the Insert+space sequence. it also
appears to apply across any and all apps, whereas insert+v (on its
own)

will apply to just the application it was invoked in.

 Hi,
the latest version is Adobe Reader X.
You need to disable protected view first to get it work well with JFW9.
I have boath JFW 9 and 11 installed and It works great.
I'm using the Hebrew and English versions of JAWS.
 Do the following:
 1. Open the edit menu.
 2. go to prefernces .
If you don't like to do it from the menu, Press control+k in the main
window
 of Adobe Reader.
 3. tab until you find a checkbox called enable protected mode at
startup,

 and uncheck it.
Then, press yes to continue after the worning.
 Then, press OK.
 4. Close adobe reader and start it again.
But, if the PDF file has an image and not a text, You will not be able
to

 read it.

 Best regards from Israel,

 Adi Kushnir.

Hi List!

I am using Win 7 with Windows Mail and it sure is better than Outlook
2010 or Win Live Mail. Only problem is that I can't seem to make a
message rule. One starts out by having to pick a criteria and the one I
want to use is where to from lines contains people but I can't seem to
get it checked. I've tried pressing the space bar, the enter key on both
the regular keyboard and the number pad as well as trying to press alt+c
as suggested. None of that seems to work. I just get silence and, if I
try to continue, I am told I have to pick a criteria before going on.
Any thoughts?

Re: [JAWS-Users] Connecting to a network away from home

Tim,
I am using Windows 7, Jaws 12.
I went to the system tray. I arrowed down to where I would usually find my
network. In the new place where I was, my auto dealership,I entered where it
said, network available. I then entered and entered again on Open network
sharing center. I then arrowed down to the link where I found my choices.

I didn't take accurate notes while I was there. I was able to successfully
connect, but when I turned off my internet on my laptop, I had to follow
this process again.

I don't usually go away from home and connect to another WFI provider, but I
just want to have the process down if I do.

Thank you.
