Re: [JAWS-Users] disabling speaking page numbers in MS word 2007
Hi LMorris, I don't know if this will work in Word2007 but, in Word2002 this is where I went to have page numbers read, except I turned this option on. While in Word open Jaws options with Insert / Jaws key + V. Press the letter P, until you have Page, Section, and Multiple Column Breaks highlighted, press the spacebar until Jaws reads,OFF. Press enter to save your changes & close. If there are other ways to turn the reading of pages on / off hopefully others will let us know. Hope this helps. Take care. Yes, that helps a lot. Today, with everyone's help on this list, I was able to complete my calendar entries. Still do not know how to edit an existing date, but bet that is in the application key. Thanks so much. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 12 and Outlook 2007 Problems
Hi, Has this been resolved and if so what was the fix? If not are you running 32 bit machine or 64 bit and how much memory (RAM) you can have up to 4 gig with 32 bit but the video RAM is subtracted from this and well 64 let us just say more then 4 gig. I have found with a 32 bit machine 1 gig of RAM is not enough and if you have only 1 gig then you will see the sluggishness and the missing of letters when typing etc. so max out the RAM and this may solve some of these issues. robin -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Michael Hansen Sent: June 26, 2011 4:36 PM To: Jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 12 and Outlook 2007 Problems Hello everyone, I am running Outlook 2007 and the latest version of JAWS 12. I have a couple issues: 1.When in the message list and in emails, JAWS is very sluggish-compared to using other applications. 2. When reading emails, JAWS will sometimes read the same line a second time when I press the down arrow-instead of reading the line that I am focused on. This also happens when I use the up arrow. 3. When I press the backspace key, JAWS does not accurately tell me the characters I am deleting; it is accurate in all other Windows programs. Would anyone have any suggestions about what might be causing my problem(s)?
