I hate to be a pane, but as far as I'm concerned Jaws 14 is currently
unusable with Outlook 2010. There are so many instances where Outlook 2010
and jaws don't respond, that in my view Jaws 14 is currently unusable with
Outlook 2010. I know this has been reported since the current release came
out, but I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that it's about time fs came
up with a fix. After all we've all been waiting since the back end of
October.

Hi,

I know this has come up several times and I am sorry to ask again.

I am on new egg, tiger direct and searching on ebay and I will admit, some
of these brand names are like whaat?

Very basic question, yes, newby for external sound cards.

Which brand should I get because with an external sound card I suppose one
can record a tutorial and have jaws coming through another sound card
correct?

Sorry, I'm very new to this and just want to get info. I am not ashame to
admit, I have no clue

If the above is something that is duable, which external sound card can I
search for on ebay, new egg, etc?

Thank you.

Re: [JAWS-Users] how do you uncheck mouse over in jaws 13and jaws 14.

2012-11-30 Thread Don Marang
Keep in mind, that the webpage developer can have many different things
happen when the mouse is hovered above an element. The nouse over
announcement just tells you it is programmed to do something. If you
press Insert + Control + KeyPad Enter and the page changes, JAWS will
tell you at what line it was inserted. It may just change colors or
perform some animation. Like others have said, if you make JAWS stop
announcing mouse over elements, there may be some materiel, like another
navigation menu row that would appear.

[JAWS-Users] Automatically restricting the Jaws cursor

2012-11-30 Thread rhs
Hi,

I have an application I want to restrict the Jaws cursor to "Real". Is
there a way to have JFW automatically restrict the Jaws cursor whenever I am
using that particular application?

I am running Windows 7 and JFW 14.

Thanks

Re: [JAWS-Users] how do you uncheck mouse over in jaws 13and jaws 14.

2012-11-30 Thread Flor Lynch
When you say that the keystroke doesn't always work, do you mean that
the keystroke itself is too awkward or that the keystroke when pressed
makes no difference often to the resulting page, i.e., that the result
is the same as if you had pressed just the enter key? When JAWS says,
"could not detect any change" it doesn't mean there was no change; just
that JAWS couldn't detect it. I also have found it a valuable keystroke
on a number of pages, where the information i sought couldn't have been
got in any other way. (Not using it then is like the experience of going
around in circles.)

this should find one result,
now down arrow the default is checked,
press the spacebar to uncheck,
now tab okay press enter.

hope this helps.

That is how it used to work. I still hear inbox closed but not the folders
that should be in there! And if I try to recreate the same folder there I
get the message that the folder is already there.

when you created the folders, were they created inside the inbox, or on the
same level as the personal folders. do you hear; inbox closed?
or where ever the subfolders reside?

if you hear folder closed, you need to right arrow to open.

Hi all

If this is not jaws related and off topic my sincere appologies to everyone

On one of my outlook accounts I have quite a few sub folders for different
kinds of messages.

Since about a week ago, for some obscure reason, I am unable to see these
subfolders.

As a test I tried to recreate one of them and was then told by the programme
that I cannot as the folder already exists.

one other good card although I do not know if they make externals is turtle
beach. a partner of mine is a computer musician writing and playing his own
works (he does a mean stray cat strut in karaoke) and uses a TB for all his
mixing, so its that kind of quality available from them.

Thank you.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Time question

2012-11-30 Thread inthaneelf
I'd count on the phone, the computer keeps fair time most of the
time, but it can get off due to several reasons, so unless you set it to get
the time from a reliable source (done in control panel, system) I'd count on
the phone since its updated automatically by the phone system as far as I
can perceive.
