[JAWS-Users] Outlook 2013
Hi all I sent a message last week but never saw it come through. Anyway I just got a Windows 8.1 machine with Office 2013 and I have Jaws 15. I like to have my email set to open the next message when I delete the previous one. Visually it opens but Jaws stays silent. If I alt tab once it goes to inbox and if I alt tab a second time it gets to the message that opened originally but would not read. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening. I am currently closing the message, deleting it if I don't want it any more then opening the next one. I'd like to go back to control d for delete and having the next one open automatically if only it would read without first having to alt tab twice to get the focus back. Cheers Paula. change the startup priority, nake it so jaws is the first to load at startup. it takes 21secs to fully load jaws here on win8 -Original Message- From: Bob Sent: Wednesday, January 22, 2014 9:42 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 15 takes about two minutes to say... jaws for windows is ready. [JAWS-Users] JAWS Will Not Restart
I have had for some time, and continue to have, a problem with JAWS not restarting when I have to close it. I have tried changing my hot key, and even tried typing JAWS14 in the run dialogue box but nothing seems to help. The only way I can get JAWS to start speaking again is to reboot my computer. Last night I found something that might allow some of you to let me know what's going on. I had to turn JAWS off and again when I tried to restart it, nothing happened. I activated NVDA so I could have some speech and focused on the JAWS14 icon on my desktop. When I would try to open it, I heard NVDA say JFW is hidden. Can anyone tell me what I can do in order to solve this issue? Thanks, Donnie For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 15 takes about two minutes to say... jawsfor windows is ready.
I forgot to tell you on the start up tab where is a list of items to check/uncheck at startup. If your running window's 7, your really going to like how after any changes are made and saved, and after rebooting, there's no exit screen like was in xp, I really like this feature in win/7 I only have Jaws, MSE, Drop Box in my list of startup items on this laptop, so jaws is quickly starting. Of course, you can always undo and restore it back, not meaning systems restore, but go back into ms configuration and check/uncheck items that you feel you need. - Original Message - From: Alan Robbins arobb...@nycap.rr.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2014 8:21 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 15 takes about two minutes to say... jawsfor windows is ready. I have also had a few problems with Internet Explorer 11 not responding but not as much as with Firefox. Then when I start Firefox again it wants to restore my last session and I'd rather not do that since I didn't know if it was a website or the program freezing up and I didn't want it to happen again., Is there something we can do in control panel or with internet options to repair or update something so my browsers will both be more responsive? -- From: Chris Hill hil...@earthlink.net Sent: Sunday, January 19, 2014 9:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] weird happenings with Firefox Had that happen the other day.
