I have noticed that as well on the fact jaws dosen't finish the contact info, by this I mean after you start typing a few letters. But I am now ok with it, cause as soon as I type the first name, and tab just one time, jaws has it all filled in with email addy. I am using WM not WLM, but maybe the contacts are same? All I do to delte is, open contacts, *might be different in WLM*, control-shift-C, arrow to thename and press delete key. also if you wish to edit a contact info, find the one and press enter on the name, do control-tab to get to different property of that contact info, tab through fill out and ok when done. have to alt f4 2 times to back completely out. You type in the 10 digit phone number where the name would go and then depending on the phone carrier, you type in the address after the at sign. For example, to send a text from your computer to a Verizon phone it would look like this: 551...@vtext.com You can Google a list of the texting numbers for different carriers. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Nicole Valicia Thompson-Andrews Sent: Friday, January 31, 2014 4:15 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Sending an email to a phone number Some of my family members and I have figured out how to send me a text via email. [JAWS-Users] Start Menu, Turning Off Recent Programs
Hi All, Running Widows7 Pro 64 bit with J15 latest classic shell. When I open my start menu it hsows the last 5 programs that have been run at the top. How do I stop these recent things from showing in the start menu? I've played around turning options on / off in Taskbar Start Menu properties but, it keeps showing these 5 most recent things run at the top still. Any suggestions on getting rid of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care. Mike This email was sent from my, iBarstool. Re: [JAWS-Users] Start Menu, Turning Off Recent Programs
Mike, If I'm understanding your need try highlighting the program you want to remove in the start menu and then hit the application key. Arrow down to unpin from start menu and hit enter. That should remove the item from your start menu. HTH, Greg -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Mike B. Re: [JAWS-Users] Start Menu, Turning Off Recent Programs
Hi Mike, In the properties of the Taskbar and Start Menu, on the Start Menu tab you will find the following: Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu checkbox not checked Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar checkbox not checked This is the way I have mine set, and the only items that show on the start menu are the ones I put there. Note, Having the first one of these unchecked will also keep recently opened items in the Run dialogue from showing. Since this is a multi-tab dialogue, there is an apply button in case you want to make other changes before hitting the okay button.
