I use AWeber that is user friendly on the Mac; i’ve not tried them on windows.

the above link is an affiliate link try AWeber out for 30 days for free to see
if it’s more friendly then mail chimp. Personally i found mail chimp to be two

NOTE, AWeber is not free after the first 30 days. It’s $19 if you have 500
subscribers or less. 501 to 2500 subscribers is $29 a month.

I have had it up to my desktop already today with all of this bickering,

A man can't go to a hockey game without worrying he is going to find a war

for a week to give everybody some time to cool off. We are all supposed to
be adults on here but in some cases that is not true.

Maybe a better idea would simply be start hitting the eject button, I know
Bob loves to do that so much we often have to hold him back.

Either way I just don't care, stop acting like children or no more recess.

Rick has asked nicely, now I am demanding, knock it off, I don't like
wasting my time writing such long and annoying email messages but days like

Hi David,
You said,"Isn't that petty that Jim is so concerned with having credit for

that he does not want to help blind people?"
First of all you are wrong in your name calling and your judging of me.
I set my group up for the sole purpose of helping the blind computer user of
w-10 with Jaws.
and I freely provided all the text of my work to this list as well as to
mine.
You on the other hand have done nothing! you only copy my work and take
credit for it because you like the attention from others because of it.

So, this is the last time I will mention you any more.
I am not going to waist any more of my precious time arguing with a
knucklehead like you.

My sole reason for my group is to help the blind computer user.
But I will not sit back and let you put me down because you are jealous of
my work.

So, come up with your own original work and leave mine alone.
You are not the one who spent months preparing my tutorials, you have done
nothing.

I enjoy doing them, I do not enjoy people like you taking credit for them.
Good luck in your false dilutions of helping others.
I am glad that I taught you so well that you were able to memorize my entire
guide!LOL.

Re: [JAWS-Users] windows 10 boot straight to desktop

2016-03-05 Thread Kevin

You can press Windows key+R to get the run dialog box, then, in the run
edit field, type in
"control userpasswords2",
without the quotes, and press
enter.

In the resulting dialog box, uncheck the box that says, users must type a
password to use this computer, and make sure it's unchecked.

Tab to the ok button, and press enter or the spacebar.

You'll receive a dialog box prompting you to select the default user and to
enter the password associated with that user.

Once you select and type in the default username and password, tab to the ok
button, and press the spacebar.

At this point, you can close the userpasswords2 dialog box, if it's still
open, or unless you want to make more advanced modifications in one of the
other tabs, and from that point onwards, it should boot directly into the
desktop.

Keep in mind that if you have User Control turned on, it will prompt you to
press the yes button if you want to allow the action.

hello;
if you want your windows 10 to load directly on to the desktop,

you need to go into, ctrl panel,
taskbar properties,
now, go to navigation,
now tab until you hear;
“When I sign in, go to the Desktop instead of the Start Screen”
this box needs to be checked.
note, you can type control into the search edit field instead of going to
control panel.

No password box for me, when I boot this lil guy.

First thing I see is the start menue and I'm in the edit box to search.
The navigation tab in the properties is where I made that change but can't
remember if it were for 8.1, 8, or windows 7. Lol.

Hi David and the Jaws users list.
Sorry about any confusion my last email may have caused.
You know that my w-10 and Jaws complete guide can be shared by anyone.
What I was talking about was the plagiarizing of my material by certain
people.
People that I helped teach and learn w-10 with Jaws.
People changing a few words and then calling my work there work.
For some reason they want to receive the reward for my hard work.
I asked this person 4 or 5 times now to quit plagiarizing my work and
calling it his own.
But he refuses to do so, so I had to make a public statement to this effect.
He needs to come up with his own work and needs to quit taking credit for my

Again I apologize for any extra traffic this may have caused.
Yes, my guide that David has graciously put on his Jaws web site can be

Thanks...

Hi all,
The instructions I gave Rose were my own words. I did not have Jim's
materials in front of me to change a word or two. I have a great great
memory. Should it be held against me that I can remember in my head what Jim

says in his tutorials. It is coming straight out of my head. What am I
supposed to do? Am I supposed to pull up Jim's writings and try not to put
it in his words? Yes, Jim taught me well, but I am not purposely rephrasing
what he says. I am just saying what comes to my head and that is all. If
what Jim says comes from my head, what am I supposed to do. Am I supposed to

not have a memory? How can I help what comes out of my head? I am not doing
anything on purpose! I am just helping people with the information I know.
Isn't that petty that Jim is so concerned with having credit for his work
that he does not want to help blind people? Why is Jim assuming that I am
copying his work? Have a great one.

Insert key+shift+right arrow to select a word.

hello;
if you want your windows 10 to load directly on to the desktop,

you need to go into, ctrl panel,
taskbar properties,
now, go to navigation,
now tab until you hear;

Lol.

All of your data should be there. To find installed programs, press the
Windows key and up arrow to all apps and press enter. In win10, all desktop
programs and all universal apps will be in the list. In the list itself, you
cannot use first letter navigation, but here is what you can do. Tab once
from the list of programs, and you will be in a list of all the letters in

press enter twice. You will then be put in a list of programs that start

Hi all,
The instructions I gave Rose were my own words.

Hi Mike,
My complete guide that I freely share with this list is all the TXT
information I have written down so far.
As far as my OneDrive group download page, this is for my w-10 and Jaws
Yahoo group only.
I have 32 audio tutorials on using w-10 with Jaws and other programs like
WLM.
Below is a complete list of my group's tutorials.
Yes, I will help any way that I can on this list, but I have to preserve my
OneDrive group download page for my group members.
If I open it to the public, there is a good chance that Microsoft will limit

the downloads that are taken from it.
This would prevent my members from having 24/7 access to it.
So, I am not being selfish, just trying to keep resources available to my

Hi Jim, Don and all,
When a problem like this comes up between list members,
it should be handled off-list between the members in question.
This list was created for the purpose of discussing the use of Jaws,
and not for airing personal differences between members!
What others do with their own e-mail lists is their business,
and is of no concern or use to the operation of this list.
>From this point forward, if you wish to post content, make sure that you

Let's have no more of this, on-list, and get back to business.

>From this point forward, if you wish to post content, make sure that you
give
credit where credit is due.

Let's have no more of this, on-list, and get back to business.

Hi Richard,
I apologize, I was talking about the plagiarizing of my work.
You know that David has put my guide on the Jaws web site to be freely used
and shared.
This David moore has used my material many times on many sites and called
it his own.
He changes a few words and then acts like he came up with it.
I have asked him 4 or 5 times privately to stop plagiarizing my work.
But he refuses to do so, so I had to make a public statement to him so that
others would know he is not the author of the material.
Sorry for any extra traffic this has caused the Jaws list.
I am not a trouble maker, I do not wish to be viewed as one.
I am one who gives his time and effort freely to the blind community.
However, after watching for a long time someone else taking credit for my

Hi rose,
All of your data should be there. To find installed programs, press the
Windows key and up arrow to all apps and press enter. In win10, all desktop
programs and all universal apps will be in the list. In the list itself, you
cannot use first letter navigation, but here is what you can do. Tab once
from the list of programs, and you will be in a list of all the letters in

press enter twice. You will then be put in a list of programs that start

installed win10 in August, and I know everything about navigating win10 and
customizing it to work best with JAWS. Press windows + I brings up the
settings app, and you can change most of your settings in the nine groups of
settings that you can right arrow through until you get to the group you
want. One of the first things you should do, is press enter on the system
settings group and arrow to default programs. Press enter and tab through
and press the space bar on Internet. It will say that Edge is your default

Hi Mike,
My complete guide that I freely share with this list is all the TXT
information I have written down so far.
As far as my OneDrive group download page, this is for my w-10 and Jaws

I have 32 audio tutorials on using w-10 with Jaws and other programs like

Below is a complete list of my group's tutorials.
Yes, I will help any way that I can on this list, but I have to preserve my

If I open it to the public, there is a good chance that Microsoft will limit
the downloads that are taken from it.
This would prevent my members from having 24/7 access to it.
So, I am not being selfish, just trying to keep resources available to my

There's nothing wrong with me wanting people to join my group.
My group is a teaching and learning group along with answering questions and

I also devote a small section of my group to poetry and Christian writings,

We have a second OneDrive group download page for these, members are free to
share these poetry and Bible writings with anyone.
Here is a current list of my tutorials for my group and the subscribe link

Hi Jim,

That was very kind of you to let Mr. Ferrin put your Jaws guide for Windows
10 on the Jaws-Users website. 1 thing I've noticed is that you don't share
anything relating to Jaws & Windows 10 with this list anymore. Like, this
WLM tutorial. I don't know what happened to make you stop sharing all your
great tutorials with this list, but you used to post the link to your Google
Drive for everyone to view, but not anymore. You said earlier,

"I am one who gives his time and effort freely to the blind community."

Does this mean as long as the blind community is a member of your list?

What David Moore has done is totally wrong, but does everyone else have to
suffer because of his selfishness? Personally, I've really enjoyed reading
your posts' & taking notes from for when the time comes that I update to
Windows 10.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 10!

2016-03-05 Thread David Moore

Hi Richard and all,
Since Jim Flushed did his tutorials on win10 and JAWS, I have done many of
my own. In the past, I did put Jim's tutorials on the list, but I did not
know I was not supposed to. Ever since then, I decided to record my own
tutorials. So now, when I mention that I have a tutorial for someone, it is
indeed my own tutorial. I have not used Jim's tutorials for months even for
my own use. Jim is indeed a trouble maker and I will prove it to you. First
of all, Jim threw ten people, that I know of, off of his list over nothing.
It was just because they were giving their opinion. Some people have
switched to Joseph Lee's win10 list and talk publically about how bad it was
on Jim's list. He has been called a dictator, a hypocrite, and much worse by
former members on his list. What Jim must have done is that he assumed that
the WLM tutorial that I mentioned on this list that I would give to anyone,
was his tutorial when it is indeed my own tutorial. Jim thinks that he is
the world's final authority for win10. I have more experience with the
computer and JAWS than Jim does. I have a BS in mathematics, and a MA in
math education. I I have used the computer for 30 years since the dos days.
I have used all mathematical software, all versions of windows, and I have
tutored people in mathematics and computers for 20 years. I am never harsh
with people, and this is not me, but Jim has left me no choice. I must
defend myself before all of you who I love. How does Jim Flushed have the
arrogance to assume I cannot make my own tutorials as well. If someone gives
their opinion, Jim Flushed throws them off his list without a warning. He
will not answer one question if a person has not listened to or read his
tutorials first. He is so mean to members of his list, and says that he is
their for blind people. If you want proof, I can direct you to other members
who are on these list, who are former members of his list, and they will
tell you how he is. I am before the Lord and tell you that I have not put
one of Jim's tutorials, on any list, for months. As soon as he made it clear
to me not to do so, I have not done it since. By the way, Unlike Jim, my
information is available to you and anyone you would like to pass it along
to. I love you guys, and I want nothing more than to help all blind people.
I am completely innocent of giving out any of Jim's materials after he told
me not to. God bless all of you and I hope I can keep helping all of you for
years to come. Have a great one.

Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws not starting when booting win10?

2016-03-05 Thread valiant8086

Hi.

Another idea, disable automatically start jaws for both this user and
for all users. Hit ok on that dialogue box, restart jaws if not the
whole computer. Go back in and enable those auto start features again. I
don't really expect that to make any difference, but it wouldn't be the
first time I fixed an issue where something wasn't behaving as it was
set to, set it to behave differently than it is set now and it may start
being consistent to how it is set after that.

If that doesn't help, I'm not sure where to go from there, do you have
multiple coppies of JAWS installed? If so, they may be having trouble
figuring out which one will start if both coppies are set to start. You
could try running NVDA or Narrator uninstall JAWS and all shared
components, removing JAWS user settings along the way, then reinstall
it. Note that as long as you don't manually go and delete anything in
the program files/freedomscientific folder on your computer you should
keep your ILM authorization even though you uninstalled this way. Also,
it could possibly be that your windows 10 setting for starting a screen
reader when you log on is messed up. Do you get another screen reader
starting automatically when JAWS isn't? Narrator perhaps?

Go to your start screen and type blind. Down arrow to optimize for
blindness.

There are quite a few checkboxes in here. You might want to make sure
Start narrator is not checked... For mine I have Narrator unchecked,
audio description checked, JAWS 16 and NVDA both not checked, but JAWS
17 is checked. I don't really know exactly what these do but you can
give that a try too. Might try that before you go crazy and reinstall
JAWS though.

Hi all,
using jaws17 latest build with a win10 desktop.
I reinstalled windows over the top of itself after speaking to microsoft

I needed to reinstall jaws after this.
Jaws won't start when the machine boots.
start for this user always is checked and start at the login screen is
checked.
I removed my antivirus before installing jaws.
I also ran Jaws as admin.
Before the reinstall of windows jaws would start at startup.
Any ideas what else I can try?

2016-03-05 Thread Mike B

Personally, I've really enjoyed reading
your posts' & taking notes from for when the time comes that I update to
Windows 10.

Take care.

He needs to come up with his own work and needs to quit taking credit for my
work.

Again I apologize for any extra traffic this may have caused.
Yes, my guide that David has graciously put on his Jaws web site can be
freely used and shared.

Thanks...

this box needs to be checked.
note, you can type control into the search edit field instead of going to
control panel.

No password box for me, when I boot this lil guy.

First thing I see is the start menue and I'm in the edit box to search.
The navigation tab in the properties is where I made that change but can't
remember if it were for 8.1, 8, or windows 7. Lol.

Hi,
Actually goes to the password edit box first if you have one, Then, the
desktop, If, you tab a couple times you should run into the recycle bin.

The answer is yes, I have not heard of the other stuff you posted,
It's been straight to the desktop from day one. Maybe you mean windows +I
for settings? Jorge

Does this still exist in windows 10. It used to be I think navigation pane
in the taskbar properties.

Mine lands on the start menu.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws not starting when booting win10?

Hi all,
using jaws17 latest build with a win10 desktop.
I reinstalled windows over the top of itself after speaking to microsoft
accessibility helpdesk.
