Re: [JAWS-Users] Recommendation for good OCR program for MacintoshsoJAWS can read scanned PDF files
If Convenient OCR in JAWS (Insert+Space, o, d) within Adobe Reader doesn't produce adequate results, ABBYY FineReader Pro 12 for Windows may be better. It can convert images (whether from a scanner or from a PDF file) into HTML, MS-Word and other formats. It works well enough with JAWS to be used without assistance. Re: [JAWS-Users] Recommendation for good OCR program for MacintoshsoJAWS can read scanned PDF files
David, He's asking about OCR programs that work with Jaws. His secondary question is off topic, as he's hoping his friend can get him the PDF document to him all scanned and accessible, but if his friend, who owns a MAC cannot, he's asking for an OCR program he can run on his Windows based computer running Jaws 17 and 18. Hope this helps. Have you tried using JAWS Convenient OCR with Adobe Reader DC and the original scanned PDF files? [JAWS-Users] iTunes: Rearranging Order of Playlist
Hi All, I have an acquaintance with a new Windows 10 HP laptop with the latest versions of both JAWS 18 and iTunes installed. This individual would like to be able to rearrange tracks in his iTunes playlist; any suggestions? We attempted the drag and drop method without success, though this could be because we missed a step. One thing noticed with Windows 10 is that the JAWS cursor cannot be depended upon to work as well as it had in previous versions of Windows. We know of the drag and drop key sequence (Control+JAWS Key+NumPad Slash). We even tried having the JAWS cursor follow the PC cursor (Control+JAWS Key+NumPad Minus). Basically, we attempted this task using every JAWS option we could think of including using the JAWS cursor independently. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
