Hi Kevin,

What version of Revo are you running? If your Mozilla is a 64 bit version,
& you're running an older versionof Revo, the older versions of Revo won't
show 64 bit programs.

First, why isn't it showing up in Revo?
Not to be stupid, but let's get the first possible issue out of the way ……
you do know, that when it displays a list of programs it can uninstall, that
that list is displayed in a form that is several columns wide. So, if you
go to the left most column (where you start when you start the program), and
arrow down to where you hear programs that might start with L or M, then if
you use the right arrow, you'll see more programs that begin with that
letter. So, unless you knew that, there are well more programs there than
you'd initially see.

Second, when you are in the program list, at least on my Windows 7 PC, you
can type the first couple letters. In other words, if I wanted to uninstall
Firefox, I'd type M O. The Revo Uninstaller would display "Money Talks"
which is the money management software from APH. If I then right arrow
once, I am on my version of Mozilla Firefox that I can uninstall.

Hi, sounds like the drive letter is not associated with it anymore.
press windows key then type disk manager. If you are using windows 10

Not to be stupid, but let's get the first possible issue out of the
way ……
you do know, that when it displays a list of programs it can
uninstall, that

that list is displayed in a form that is several columns wide. So, if you
go to the left most column (where you start when you start the
program), and
arrow down to where you hear programs that might start with L or M,
then if

you use the right arrow, you'll see more programs that begin with that
letter. So, unless you knew that, there are well more programs there
than

you'd initially see.

Second, when you are in the program list, at least on my Windows 7 PC,
you
can type the first couple letters. In other words, if I wanted to
uninstall

Firefox, I'd type M O. The Revo Uninstaller would display "Money Talks"
which is the money management software from APH. If I then right arrow
once, I am on my version of Mozilla Firefox that I can uninstall.

Re: [JAWS-Users] external drive problem

2017-10-15 Thread net bat66
sometimes if you plug in a flash drive or another drive windows will erase the
drive letter. so the next time you plug it in windows will not find it.

open a context menu on the computer icon and click on manage.
find storage useing first letter navigation s
from here its tricky. you have to try to get the list of drives. it takes a few
seconds for the list to come up.

it would be better if you have help.
see if your u s b drive shows in the list.
there may be 2 partitions.
one is the system partition and it should be active if its there.
the next should be the partition used for your files. see if there is a drive
letter assigned to it. if not you have to open another context menu on it to
assign a letter to it.
once a drive letter is assigned the usual dialog may pop up to open the drive
to view files.

hope this helps.

This has happened to me. Try this:

Disconnect the drive via your USB cable.
Shut down your computer.
Start up your computer and wait until you get to the desktop.
Connect your USB cable.

Hopefully this will work. If not, then you might want to try a system
restore back to before you last saw that drive.

easily send a Youtube link to a sighted user? I'm not sure they have Dropbox or
anything like that so prefer not to get into file attachments or anything like
that. Haven't done this in a while but the process seemed more straightforward
with XP or Windows 7. I currently have Windows 10 and latest JAWS, for whatever

I see this build still did not fix the inability to read the amount
of messages in Thunderbird folders by pressing insert plus num pad 3.

[JAWS-Users] how to send youtube link

2017-10-15 Thread Susan Wojtecki

Hi Everyone,

The subject asks it all--using Windows 10 and Thunderbird, how can I
most easily send a Youtube link to a sighted user? I'm not sure they
have Dropbox or anything like that so prefer not to get into file
attachments or anything like that. Haven't done this in a while but the
process seemed more straightforward with XP or Windows 7. I currently
have Windows 10 and latest JAWS, for whatever that's worth, smile. Step
by step much appreciated as will not figure this out without much
coffee, and even then it's doubtful. Tia.

Susan

[JAWS-Users] punctuation success!

2017-10-15 Thread Mike Bernard
Hi everyone,
I just set my punctuation to some, and now Jaws is reading email and web
addresses correctly. Apparently, I had somehow set it to none without
realizing it (smile) Thanks for your help.
Mike
