Re: [JAWS-Users] Yahoo messenger 8
I'm with Chris: messenger 8 works great with Jaws, and if you have Jaws 8 or 7, the scripts are wonderful, so make sure you've installed them for complete accessibility. I don't recommend yahoo 9 though, not only because of Jaws, but also because the program itself has many many glitches. It's one of those times where an update wasn't really necessary, you know. Re: [JAWS-Users] Labeling Edit boxes in Web Applications
I'm having the same problem as Bill, (I posted about it a few days ago but still no luck fixing it). It just says, Frame, and frame end, and the edit field is inside that frame but I can't access it, I mean I can't turn forms mode on inside the frame in order to type. I've tried the costume label but it won't work: it says Cannot create custom label for item. This only happens in Firefox though: the edit frame is accessible within IE, but I would really need to have it accessible in Firefox. Any clue, anyone? [JAWS-Users] Jaws and wysiwyg editor in Firefox
Hi all, Let's hope I can explain my question correctly! When I come across an iframe with an edit field in IE, Jaws will announce the edit box so I can type in text. But in Firefox, all I hear is Blank iframe and Blank iframe end, it won't show me an edit field. I'm using Jaws 9. Thanks in advance. Re: [JAWS-Users] Goldwave
You know, if all you need is to convert your wav files to mp3, I wouldn't suggest installing GoldWave, which is a more complex sound editor and would take lots of space and ram memory. If you can't get the Winam plugin, how about any media files converter? I use Total Video Converter for all of mine, video or audio: http://www.download.com/Total-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10429299.html But I've herd some about a Total Audio Converter too: http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/total-audio-converter.html Hope it helps. Re: [JAWS-Users] Sound recording
Hello, Estelita, I wouldn't go to the extreme of adding an aditional soundcard. If your microphone is picking Jaws (or any other sound in the envirement, for that matter), you might want to try using headphones: that way, Jaws will speak only to you, and the mic won't pick it. That's what I do, and it works. If you're still getting Jaws even with headphones, then your recorder program is probably set to record from System Mixer, thus picking Jaws and other internal sound from your computer. If this is so, the only thing you'll need to do is change the setting to record from Microphone. I'll double check to tell you where exactly that is, but I believe you should try the headphones first. Hope it helps. Re: [JAWS-Users] Sound recorder
Estelita, If you want to hear what you're recording, without plugging anything, go to Control Pannel, Sound and Audio Devises, in the Audio tab, tab to Sound recording volume, press enter and tab til you hear Advance, press enter and you'll land on Advanced settings for microphone: Here, make sure that the Do not monitore check box is unchecked. Re: [JAWS-Users] moving messages in outlook express
Hi Alan, You want to move only some certain messages from your inbox to another folder, right? First, go to the file menu and creat a new folder for these messages, if you don't already have one. Then, hold the Control key down while with the up and down arrows you select the messages you want to move. Then you press control shift v, select the folder you want to move them to, and hit enter. [JAWS-Users] Re. Re: Best messenger programs
Oh I see, so that's how they're called... Ok, but where are you getting those? I mean, yahoo only asks for a word verification when you create an account or join a new yahoo group, but I've never seen that in our conference, with or without voice. Must be that other thing, yaho chat, and not messenger. Re: [JAWS-Users] Best messenger programs
Hello, I use yahoo messenger 8 with Jaws 9 and works great, and if you have 8, there are wonderful scripts that make it work just as good. The voice feature (both in person to person call and in conference) works really good for me with Jaws. [JAWS-Users] Jaws 9 not speaking page numbers in Word 2007
Hi all, I recently started using Jaws 9 and noticed that control+page up or down are not working, they don't say what page number I'm in. I thought my documents would be in web layout, where page numbers are not spoken, but no, they were in print layout. Anybody knows how I could solve this? That's correct: The space bar will pause the file only if the player is in My library view, or in theatre presentation view. The new real player doesn't pause with space bar in normal view. Hi Ming, I'm not sure why it's not letting you pause with control+p, but the back and fast forward commands for the latest RealPlayer is alt+shift+left or right arrows.
