Hi friends, have been virtually non-existent for months on the
list due to
slipping in and out of moments of depression cause by the death
of my

mother.
To make things worlse I accidentally formatted the secondary
harddrive of my

machine where I had all my stuff backed up.

Anyway I got Windows 7 installed on my machine and need a program
that works
similar to Outlook express and and address book that could be
incoorperated

into Windows 7 that is accessible with JAWS 11.
Thanks. Heard Thunderbird is accessible but not sure. In
addition I am sorry
if this question had been raised before. My apologies to richard
and the
moderating team if I caused the list to be clustered with
repeated posts.

Can anyone tell me who uses Jaws 11 why my Jaws would

note, all has been fine since this occurred last night so any
input would be appreciated. Thanks and take care.
Oh ya, by the way, is there anything I should be doing to make

JAWS Users,
I took a look at the page that was sent in an email back on May 31. My
problem is finding the appropriate link that will work with JAWS and the
version of Skype I have. I believe the version I downloaded was version
4.2. I use JAWS 10. Can anyone assist me as to which download I should use
since there seemed to be quite a few downloads and the ones I chose did
not work for me? Thanks for any help offered on this matter. Also can
anyone enlighten me as to what Skype watch is? The page I read kind of
discouraged me from tackling it since it said that JAWS could be disabled.
I may have a change of heart down the road but for now I just want to
stick to the basics.

There is no specific event listed on the Sounds page for playing a sound

Hi all.
I'm using XP with JFW 10. Why does OE require that an email address be in
your addressbook before you can send an email to that address.

If you want to reply directly to someone posting to a list, OE wants you
to

put that email address in your addressbook before it will send the email.
Good way to clutter up your addressbook.

My complaint for the day.

Hi all, I see that a question was asked back
on the 26th of May by another list member and it relates to my problem, but
nobody responded.

If I may, I will ask again. Maybe someone has an answer?

When I try to sign up for yahoo, using firefox, it is refusing to allow me
to pick options from drop down menus. Also, if I put one piece of info in an
edit box on the page, all the rest of the edit boxes appear to have that
piece of info in it. If I try to edit them, all of the edit boxes change to
whatever new piece of information I enter into the given edit box. It's not
showing the edit box for my name, my birth date and year, nor my user ID.

I would just do this all in internet explorer if I could, but I need web
visom so that I can fill in the capcha box.

Note: this is the sign up page, as in I am trying to create a new account,
not filling in the info to log onto an already existing account.

Thank you,
Kate

[JAWS-Users] run on sentences

2009-06-28 Thread zach D on Del
Hi listers. I am using jaws 8.0.2173U. When writing an email a few seconds ago,
I decided to read it. I did this because I had been performing some tests
regarding jaws and different email systems. On both systems Jaws spoke as if I
had no periods. Here's an example:
Hi my name is Zach and I am blind I like chickens I also like biking in open
farmland when I am not in open farmland then I like being on the computer or
the braillenote

There should be periods after: blind; chickens; farmland; braillenote

I left out the periods on purpose in the sample. But my question now arises: is
JAWS simply ignoring grammar?

I notice that you leave only one space between sentences. You should
always skip two spaces between sentences to insure that JAWS properly
recognizes the end of a sentence after a period, exclamation point or
question mark. . That way, your sentences won't sound like they're
running together.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] run on sentences

Hi listers. I am using jaws 8.0.2173U. When writing an email a few
seconds ago, I decided to read it. I did this because I had been
performing some tests regarding jaws and different email systems. On both
systems Jaws spoke as if I had no periods. Here's an example:
Hi my name is Zach and I am blind I like chickens I also like biking in
open farmland when I am not in open farmland then I like being on the
computer or the braillenote

There should be periods after: blind; chickens; farmland; braillenote

I left out the periods on purpose in the sample. But my question now
arises: is JAWS simply ignoring grammar?

Hi everyone,

Why do some of you dislike using auto forms mode?

Just curious.

Nobody answered me yesterday on the other list so I'll ask on here, the
fact is I am in need of the server protocol settings to setup an email
account on MSN for a friend of mine. Specifically incoming and out going
server names and any other setting on that tab I might need to know.

I tried thinking once but decided it was a bad idea.
