Hi, I woke my computer up and one of my adman accounts appear to 
be locked.  It asked for a password that doesn't exist.  I can 
get into the built-in administrator account just fine.  How do I 
get jaws 17 to stop saying "Pasword pasword edit?" I have a dell 
laptop running jawiths 17 (reinstalled) due to issues.  If I 
unload jaws and start ararrator, there is no password prompt and 
I and hit enter.  How do I reset my administrator account using 
the built-in one?

Hello, I did a system restore, because I made a major change to 
my jaws settings and the capslock key wouldn't work.  I finally 
restored it and Everything went well until I tried to update 
jaws.  I keep getting a setup packagage errror and I need to 
repair the installation which I don't have the installation fl.  
How do I do it properly without loosing the authorization key?

Hello, I'm trying to clear out my windows update cache.  How do I 
clear the cach out? I went to disk cleanup and found windows 
update cleanup which was over 20 gigs.  I then started the 
process and my computer overheated and it was stuck at 88 
percent.  I waited 5 minutes and still at the same.  I restarted 
the computer iiguring out that it did clean them but it didn't.  
Now the windows update cleanup option disappeared.  How do I fix 
this? Is there a program that's accessible with jaws mayby?

from the microsoft website.  I used the get windows 10, and my pc

Hi

You can put both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of JAWS
portable on the
same thumb drive assuming it's large enough to hold them.  For
JAWS 15
portable, it looks like the download files and the extracted
files will need
around 200 MEG.  After you've downloaded both the 32 bit and the
64 bit
files from FS, copy them to the thumb drive.  Now press enter on
one of the
downloaded files.  The first screen that appears asks where you
want to
extract the files to.  The default is the high-level folder of
the thumb
drive.  Assuming you chose the 32 bit version, tab once and
you'll be on an
edit box that specifies the high level folder of the thumb drive
(Drive
Letter colon backslash).  Press the end key to move past the
backslash and
enter a folder name such as JAWS15-32.  Then tab to the next
button and
press enter.  Now all of the JAWS portable files for the version
you chose
will be placed in the folder you specified.  Now repeat the steps
above to
extract the files for the other version and specify a folder name
like
JAWS15-64, assuming you are now installing the 64 bit version.
Using
Windows 7, I don't believe I've ever seen an auto run dialog
popup
automatically.  So I create a startup file in the thumb drive
high-level
folder to start JAWS  portable.  In the high-level folder create
a DOS batch
file with a name like JAWS15.bat.  The file extension must be
.bat.  Now
position on the newly created file and press the applications key
or
shift+f10 to bring up the context menu.  Arrow down one time to
edit and
press enter to open.  Now copy the 6 lines that follow and paste
them into
the open batch file.  Make sure the folder name in the batch file
match what
you named the folders.  Then press control+s to save and alt+f4
to close.

This batch file will start the appropriate 32 or 64 bit version
of JAWS

drive is inserted, move to the batch file and ;press enter, or
press Windows
key+r for the run dialog, type  Drive letter colon backslash
batch file
name.bat.

I  downloaded windows 10 through the microsoft website and used 
the media creation tool.  I reserved my fre upgrade and there 
were so many problems, I couldn't even use internet explorer nor 
use windows update.  I recomen you do it that way instead of 
reserving it in the sblestem tray.

Next, there will be a screen asking you to except the
license agreement, check the yes and press enter on next.
Again, the program will run through several screens by
itself.
Next, press enter on install.
now you will have no speech, this install takes 45 to 60
minutes to complete.
After 1 hour, press the Windows key+enter key to turn on
narrator.
Wait for a few minutes if it does not come on right away.
Almost done.
press the next button.
choose express settings.
press the next button.
if done right, in about 10 to 15 minutes, jaws will come on
talking on the desktop.
very important, uninstall jaws.
Keep shared settings and personal settings.
Reinstall jaws, no need for a restart here, jaws will come
on talking with all your settings, except for 2 of them.
Redo your shortcut key, control+ALT+j.
Redo the setting to have jaws come on at the log-on screen.
For whatever reason if the media tool fails the first time.
Check for updates, restart, and run the tool again.

Hieahow do I force a full shut down on my laptop, simply hitting 
altogether fbled will just close what I'm doing, but not bringing 
the shut down dialog.  When I hit the power button in the start 
menu, it will just put it into sleep.  How do I force my laptop

the power button for 10 seconds, because it would force the

upgrading to Windows 10 with JAWS.  In the past, I have never
had real good success with upgrading and have always found a
clean install produces much better performance.  Has anyone
done this and if so, how does JAWS handle this? My guess is
with the later sighted assistance may be needed but with the
new and improved narrator maybe not? One other question with
upgrading, does a home network that is setup remain intact
or does it need to be set up again?

You will hear a very nice male voice.
ALT+tab to the narrator settings window.
tab across to the various buttons.
A settings button allows you to change the voice, it�€셲 speed,

Pressing caps lock+escape, will quit narrator.
Pressing caps lock+f1, will bring up a list of 76 shortcut keys 
for narrator using mainly the caps lock key in combo with other 
keys.
I just spent one hour playing with it, fabulous, very 
understandable.

Important: totally uninstall jaws and reinstall it after you 
update to

windows 10.
I tried just repairing jaws 16, but I could not access the start 
button.
called Microsoft support, they told me to uninstall  and 
reinstall jaws, and

they were right.
everything is working now except for cortana.
I used the media tool from Microsoft, you must have reserved 
windows 10 to

use this tool successfully.

I personally give Microsoft a A+ for windows 10.
All my files, folders, and settings were transferred without any 
problems.

So far all my programs work.
the first time I used the Microsoft tool, it took about 2 hours 
to download

windows 10, but five minutes into the setup it failed.
I immediately did the download again, took about 20 minutes, and 
upgraded my

windows 7, 64 bit to windows 10 home, with no issues.
Again, after uninstalling and reinstalling jaws, I had no issues 
on windows

10.
