How can I tell is this is a usb 2.0 or 3.0 port? I have a toshiba
portege z935 laptop made in 2013.

Yes, The HDMI ports are similar in shape, but a USB plug will not
fit there,

No, they are all the same shape. You can plug a 2.0 into a 3.0
and
vice-versa. You can feel the difference with your fingers. The
2.0 port is
pretty open but the 3.0 port feels like there are contacts right
up to the
edge of the opening.
