Re: [JAWS-Users] 2013/365.
They are both the same. Office 365 is Office 2013 bundled with special pricing and sold as a subscription service. The cost is less. I pay $10.39 per month for the Home version which includes Word, Excel, Power Point, One Drive, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. With this you also get 1 TB of One Drive and 60 minutes of Skype per month to use. With this subscription, you can install the suite on up to 5 computers or tablets, and you always keep the latest updates and upgrades for the Office Suite, so when the next version comes out, you will automatically update to that. When I had Office 2013 Home and Student installed on my computer, it seemed as if something about Office never work right, but with the 365, it has run flawlessly. There is also the Personal version available for $6.95 per month plus taxes, and with this version I believe you get Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook only. Re: [JAWS-Users] 2013/365.
OK, here we go. To start with, if you happen to be running Windows 7, just open the Start menu and select All Programs, and arrow down to Microsoft Office. Open this and scroll through the programs within Office finding the ones that you want on your desktop. For each one that you do, right click on that program and then select the Send To option and then select Desktop (create shortcut). If you are running Windows 8 or 8.1, then it is a little more complicated, but not too bad. Start by opening File Explorer, and then your C: crive. Now open Program files, and scroll down to Microsoft Office 15. Open Office 15 and scroll down to find the Root folder, and from here find the folder nmed Office 15. OK, this is the folder that contains all of the esecutable files for your Office programs. Unfortunately, they are not all called by the name that you and I know the programs by, but that’s OK. Start by pressing the letter E until you come to Excel, you can press EX to find it quicker, and once you do, right click on it and select either Create Shortcut, or Send To, and then Desktop (Create Shortcut). Now, you just repeat this for the remainder of the applications that you want on your desktop. The file names that you will be looking for are as follows: Word - Winword Excel - EXCEL Outlook - Outlook One Note - Onenote Power Point - POWERPNT Access - MSACCESS Publisher - MSPUB OK, that’s it. Hope it helps. Mike mike@comcast.net -Original Message- From: Dacia Cole Sent: Thursday, June 18, 2015 9:58 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] 2013/365.
