Hi Neil, If she's running XP Microsoft Accessibility will not help her, to the best of my knowledge, because XP is not being supported anymore. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS, Outlook Express, Outlook
Hi all, I installed Outlook Express on Windows 8 and I did not have Outlook or office on machine. When I opened a email message it was opened by notepad. I tried to create a rule and no luck. I wonder if I have Outlook installed on W8 then OE would work fine. Any ideas? Right now using XP but have Windows 8 and have not upgraded to w10 or office2013. I only have one machine connected at a time because only have one monitor and I don't know how to network both machines. Anyone know how to network both desktops with one modem? I don't need monitor unless I get jammed up. - Original Message - From: "Neil Towery " <neiltow...@sc.rr.com> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Sunday, October 04, 2015 12:28 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS, Outlook Express, Outlook Thanks for the suggestion. I would have her contact the Microsoft disability services office. They can remote in to her computer and just handle all this. In closing, I suspect her contacts and data should all still be there, that it is just the software that is messed up. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS, Outlook Express, Outlook
Hi Neil, I suggest instead doing a reinstall of Outlook Express, which is nice and simple with JAWS, and if it had been working okay for her, why switch? I would have her contact the Microsoft disability services office. They can remote in to her computer and just handle all this. In closing, I suspect her contacts and data should all still be there, that it is just the software that is messed up. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS, Outlook Express, Outlook
When I had Outlook Express 2003 and moved to Outlook 2013 those addresses and folders moved over fine, not sure about the non Microsoft Outlook Express that is out there now. Yes, MS Accessibility can and will help with that transition. If I continue to do the same things I have always done and am believing for change in my life That is a form of insanity!
