Re: [JAWS-Users] Successful windows 10 upgrade
Kimsan, I did get speech on the screen where you select the typical or custom setup using narrator. It will start via the Windows + Enter shortcut. Remember here, you are not uninstalling your previous Windows to install 10, you are just updating, therfore much of your Windows functionality still remains during the update. You can choose the typical setup using Narrator, then let it finish the update, and the next thing you will get will either be the Windows log in screen or your desktop, depending on how your computer is configured. Re: [JAWS-Users] Successful windows 10 upgrade
Mario, I don't see why you can't. You can still reserve today if you wanted to. That didn't end on July 29, that is just the day that the update became available for download. I didn't reserve my Gateway laptop until August 9, and then I turned right around the same day and used the Creation Tool to download the file and use it to install the update. I did all of that in about 3 hours time, and it worked perfectly. Go ahead and give it a try, I am almost certain that it will work for you.. Well guys, I update my 4th computer, and I need to say that now my opinion is very different. I am working on another Lenovo i7, 8GB, and one hybrid disk. I don't know for what reason, in this computer jaws and windows 10 are working very good. In my 3 first computers, windows 10 was working fine, but jaws was messing with me, so I downgrade to windows 8, and jaws stopped playing with me. But again, in this Lenovo, windows 10 is working very good, and jaws is working perfectly. Thanks for all for your advices through the list. Re: [JAWS-Users] Successful windows 10 upgrade
guys, upgrade through windows update and you'll get narrator as soon as the windows 10 setup screen launches. I use bootcamp on my late 2012 iMac, intel core i5, 1 TB hard rive, 8 GB RAM. it worked fine. restarted four times, and I got speech. not right away, their was notable delay from when I pressed windows+enter, to when windows 10 setup was announced. waiting for official bootcamp drivers so my volume controls work, other than that, when without a hitch; you can get rid of the windows.old folder by doing a disk cleanup and scrolling down to delete operating system files.. I'll keep it because when I called the microsoft disability answer desk and asked about windows 10 ultimate, they said it wasn't hurt yet, implying that it will come out in the future. so, is the downgrade process just as smooth and the upgrade process?
