2015-05-26 Thread Neil Towery
Thank you, George. I have JAWS 16. Yes, you are right about the VA, and
their budget. They should have a call in tech support, much like FS.
So, those check boxes really have nothing to do with the browsing history?
I can understand why someone wants to preserve the cookie information. If I
wanted to delete the cookies, I would uncheck the preserve cookie box, then,
go to the delete button?

It is just worded in a weird way.
Thanks for the offer of free tech support. Need more folks like you. Neil

Hi Neil,

After you press alt + T and select to delete.
If, you tab through the menu, you still are keeping certain cookies of the
websites you hang out the most.
Deleting the history is simply deleting where you been, so nobody can know
where your internet has been, if they press control + H.
If, you are using Wind7, you should be using IE 11.

IE 8 is a out dated Browser and it will run not as good as IE 11.
Some people use older browsers because they use certain websites and get
better results.
You cannot always follow what the VA suggests.

The VA Vist are not computer wise and always depend on a outside sourse for
their computer consulting, assessments and evaluations.
And the vist does not want to brake their budget, HaHa!
But, will pay out ridiculous prices to these outside companies to come out
to your home; That if the Vist would just buy or upgrade you to jaws 16,
they would be saving a hell of a lot of money.

7 weeks ago my Vist hired one of these companies and a blind man on a wheel
chair and a driver came to my home to assess my Dell 4 gig Latitude running
Wind7 and Office 2013 running jaws 14 to assess, for jaws 16.
The information he wanted, we could have done over a phone call.
It was in the accessory under system.

Are you kidding me! And I'm still waiting.
I would have had jaws 16 installed, updated already and running with the
horses.

This club is the place for all your computer advice and help.
I myself am learning everyday something on other peoples post.

Well, after striking the space bar onn delete browsing button, the
information presented can be confusing.
I have IE version 8, because it was recommended to me by the VA.
Anyway, after getting to the browsing location, what JAWS reads has to do
with preserving cookies, passwords, and so forth. The boxes are checked by
default (I think). So, to delete the cookies, should the check boxes be
checked or unchecked? Being in delete browsing and discussion of preserving
something makes it a mystery

Hi,
Open up your IE and wait for the chime,

Press alt + T and the first option is to delete your history press the
letter D, I believe.
Or, arrow down through the menu.

 Or alt + T, then O.
.
If, you select O for internet options.

The first tab, you can delete your search engine with the backspace key.
And retype a different one in like:

use the tab key to move down the menus.

If, you make any changes in the internet options at the bottom you must
press the apply button, then the OK button to save your changes.

Keep tabbing through the options.
When, you tab to a menu, press the spacebar to open it. Arrow up down to
move you to other menus.
At the general tab menu
You can press control + tab to bring up other important menus and again use
your up down arrows to move you to the options.

If, you are not sure on what you are doing don't make any changes, just
escape out completely to the general page and save your changes.
You can mess up your internet options, if you're not careful.

[JAWS-Users] clear cookies on internet explorer 11

2015-05-26 Thread David Moore
Hi Petras.
Here is the easiest way to clear your cookies in IE 11.

Press the key command ctrl + shift + delete. The clear browser
history dialog will come right up for you. Now, check all boxes of
material you want to delete. If you only want to delete cookies, just
check that one box. Now, tab to delete and press enter. You are
done.
Now, I think I know why you cannot find tools menu. It sounds like
the menu bar is hidden. Here is what you do. First, press alt. If
you hear nothing when you press alt, that means that your menu bar is
hidden. Now, you do not need the menu bar to delete the cookies. I
just told you how to do that. However, you will want the menu bar to
show at sometime so you can get to the menus. Again, if you hear
nothing after pressing alt, here is what you do. Press alt + the
letter V. This will open up a view menu. Now, arrow down to the
toolbars sub menu. Press right arrow on that, and you will hear
different bars that are either checked or unchecked. Here are the
ones you want to check. Definitely check the menu bar by pressing
space bar. You also want to check the command toolbar and the
taskbar. After you do this, just press escape twice to get back to
the webpage. Now, press just the alt key again. I bet you will hear
the menus spoken now, because you checked the menu bar. Please let me
know about two things. Did you understand how to delete the cookies?
And, did you get the menu bar to come up when pressing the alt key?
Please e-mail me.
