open the png file then select print.  then at the select printer option 
select the 'freedom import printer
when you execute the print OpenBook will automatically open and convert 
the image to text if there is any text in the image.

Re-install Openbook and make sure to accept the install of the Freedom 
Import Printer. Then it will show whenever you want to print any document. 
It will be in your list of printers.

You will need some OCR software to do it. Kurzweil, Openbook, Omnipage 
come
to mind. Use your iPhone to convert the text from the printed page with 
one

of many apps to do it.

what you do is if the png file is digitized you print it .
open the png file then select print.  then at the select printer option 
select the 'freedom import printer
when you execute the print OpenBook will automatically open and convert 
the image to text if there is any text in the image.
