Re: [JAWS-Users] my aim program is frozen

2011-01-27 Thread azad
yes i also faced such for several times. to resolve this problem: after
starting your computer. close aim if it starts automatically. then go to
system tray and press on aim then exit aim. now open aim fromm your dextop.
and it will not freeze any more. do it every once after starting your
windows. other wise it is not easy to use aim.

Hi list, I hope you can help me.
For some reason went I went to use aim it froze up.
I have tried to uninstall it from the programs and features list, from the
computer on the desk top, and also from all programs.
No matter what I do the program stays froze, it will not open or let it
self be uninstalled.

Please, any suggestions would be helpful, thank you very much.
I am using vista with latest jaws 12.

Hi James. See if you can go an download the latest aim. Also, kill the
process. Go into task manager by using control shift escape. Arrow over to
processes. There's a list view. You're looking for aim.exe delete, hit yes,
then try and either opening aim again, or installing the latest version.
Note: if you kill the process but it's there, hit delete again. If it gives
a can not determine process error something to that effect, the process has
already been terminated. Hope that helps.

Are you sure you closed AIM? If you cannot get it to close, launch the
Windows Task Manager (Alt-Control-Delete), scroll to AIM on the Applications
tab and tab to the end task button to force it to shut down. Then you
should be able to uninstall it.

The best way to open the task manager is to press control+shift+escape and
not control+alt+delete.

Best regards,

Adi.

What difference does it make which keystroke you use to launch Windows Task
Manager? They both work the same way.
