I tried the 4.20 alpha DNG that was provided, and I painted for a good two
hours tonight with it with no issues concerning the cursor using a Wacom Intuos
4 XL on macOS 10.13.6 with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.

> SUMMARY
> Chrome and Firefox extension support on Falkon would be great way to extend
> its functionality.

It appears from my research that being able to add Chromium (Chrome) extensions
to Falkon depends on QtWebEngine adding this functionality, which it currently
does not have.

Here is a link to a QtWebEngine request which received this reply dated 19 Mar
2019: "Tentatively considered for Qt 5.14."
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-61676

Hopefully we will get this capability eventually.

[kdiff3] [Bug 405918] INSTALL instructions don't work

2019-03-29 Thread Ross Boylan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405918

I enabled developer mode and reran.
First time failed with
PermissionError: [WinError 5] Access is denied:
'C:\\Users\\rdboylan\\Documents\\src\\CraftRoot\\build\\_\\20653f50\\boost_1_69_0\\libs'

I made sure I had nothing open on the directory tree and tried again. I still
got
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'C:\\Users\\rdboylan\\Documents\\src\\CraftRoot\\build\\_\\20653f50\\boost_1_69_0\\libs\\geometry\\doc\\html\\geometry\\reference\\spatial_indexes\\boost__geometry__index__rtree\\rtree_parameters_type_constindexable_getter_constvalue_equal_constallocator_type_const___.html'

Do I need to delete the directory (which?)? Restart powershell after having
set dev mode (don't think so: tried it and got the 2nd error above)? Do some
equivalent of make clean, hopefully one that will only affect boost-headers?

Except for the problem with qith MySQL, the stuff before this all seems to have
built OK. Does that fact I was not in dev mode means some of those packages
might not be quite right either?

Different update numbers across all options to update

SUMMARY
There is an inconsistency in the update tooltip. There has been a lot of bug
reports of incorrect number of updates between the numbers showed under
systemtray and Discover. The problem that I've found, and may explain this bug,
is in the flatpak runtime-plugins system as it is exposed in the attached
image.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Check Update in systemtray.
2. Run apt update in terminal.
3. Run flatpak update in terminal.
4. Run update in Discover.

OBSERVED RESULT
Different numbers are shown between the Updates instances.

Show the same number in each one.

[digikam] [Bug 405232] digiKam crashes in Slideshow and Presentation

2019-03-29 Thread Maik Qualmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405232

I take this from the LOG:

digikam.dimg: Failed to allocate chunk of memory of size 64131072
std::bad_alloc
digikam.dimg.jpeg: Cannot allocate memory!

Reserving around 61 MB of memory for the image buffer fails. The digiKam JPEG
Loader gives up.

digikam.dimg.qimage: Can not load " "E:/Fotos/Testfotos
Schottland/Linear/DSC06844.jpg" " using DImg::QImageLoader!
digikam.dimg.qimage: Error message from loader: "Unable to read image data"

Attempting to load the image with the QImage Loader provided in Qt also fails.

I have no idea why memory allocation fails on your computer. Suspect that
something prevents that only a limited amount of memory gets this process.
Therefore, some images are displayed which are probably smaller in size and
require less memory

[krita] [Bug 405823] Cursor offset on Cintiq 16 (only on canvas)

2019-03-29 Thread Heston
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405823

Heston changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED
 Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME

This bug was due to multiple mixed-resolution monitor setup in windows. Steps
outlined in FAQ* + trial and error yield a hacked solution, however application
must be re-launched and offsets manually adjusted every time switching
monitors.

*Shift+click on new session to access the secret "Choose screen resolution"
dialogue box, where tablet offsets can be manually adjusted.

SUGGESTION:
1. Have the tablet offsets discoverable in settings menu.
2. Make it possible to access tablet offsets during a session (rather than
only on launch). This could allow dragging application window to another
monitor and continued use without having to re-launch app to change tablet
offsets.

video showing the bug

Please see attached video.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create two color clips of different colors.
2. Drag the two color clips to neighboring video tracks on the timeline,
partially overlapping in time.
3. Add the "Composite and transform" composition between the two clips. (you
don't even have to change any settings)
3. Play the project.

OBSERVED RESULT
When the playback cursor hits the composition, playback slows down
considerably. Note that sometimes the speed will be fine during the first
playback, but slow on subsequent playbacks. Even if the playback speed is
correct the first time, the transition is still very choppy, even on my 6-core
i7.

EXPECTED RESULT
Playback should not slow down.

[kdenlive] [Bug 406022] New: add timeline support for conventional mouse wheel navigation

2019-03-29 Thread S. Christian Collins
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406022

Bug ID: 406022

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

In Kdenlive, the mouse scroll wheel has the following functions in the
timeline:
* Scroll Wheel = scroll horizontally
* Ctrl + Scroll Wheel = zoom
* AFAIK, there is no way to scroll vertically with a large number of tracks
present except by grabbing the scrollbar.

I would like to request to have the option to use conventional scroll wheel
navigation for the timeline instead:
* Scroll Wheel = scroll vertically
* Shift + Scroll Wheel = scroll horizontally
* Ctrl + Scroll Wheel = zoom

This is how most software works, including GIMP, Inkscape, MuseScore, Firefox,
Google Chrome, and Libreoffice, just to name a few. When every other program
uses this convention, switching to Kdenlive really messes with my muscle
memory. I realize making this the default might frustrate existing Kdenlive
users who are used to the current workflow, but I would love to see this as an
option at least.

I already seen this kind of dysfunction, rarely but...

Typically, a JPEG image is not well recognized as JPEG, and thumbnailer try
other renderer : raw decoder, and ffmpeg. This last one is the result of your
corrupted image. Look the film-gram on the left and right side.

Running digiKam from a console and forcing to render all thumbs from scrach can
be interesting.

Corrupted thumbnail on miniature view

SUMMARY

Some pictures show a corrupted thumbnail. Maybe one every 100 or less. They all
look like a video thumbnail with TV static noise in it, although they all are a
bit different from each other. See attached picture as a sample.

These pictures can be correctly opened in digikam and other picture viewers,
and all the metadata seem to be correct, there are no signs of corruption
anywhere.

Re-reading the metadata from file to recreate the thumbnail does nothing.
Adding and removing a tag from the metadata seems to work in some cases, but
not others, to restore the original thumbnail.

I am in a high-latency network, so I am suspecting that these files were edited
at some point and due to the high-latency there was some kind of problem and
the thumbnail could not be generated correctly. But that wouldn't explain why
re-reading the metadata does not restore it.

I repeatedly get this error on the console, but I don't know if it has anything
to do with it, it appears regardless of the image:

Cannot open workspace color profile
"/tmp/.mount_digikasDTsw0/usr/share/digikam/profiles/srgb-d65.icm"

project with resources and rendered error (windows 19.04)

project with resources and rendered error (windows 19.04)
just load the project.. change the path of the 2 images..
just render last 7 seocnds of the clip... and the composite
effect is starting delayed by 2 seconds... looking at the
project ... the frame of composite and the PNG are exactly the same...
on rendering (i put my rendering) there are 2 seconds of delay when composite
effect (size) is not applied.

Try the fallowing:
1)cd to your craft root
Run:
2)C:\CraftRoot\craft\craftenv.ps1
3)craft kdiff3
4)craft --package kdiff3

The craft root I was running still had build products from the last run.

   Version: 5.15.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: samuel.gilb...@usherbrooke.ca

SUMMARY

Key events are sent to applications when moving windows with the keyboard.
This behaviour is clearly unintended. For example when moving a window of a
text editor, the cursor is moved in the text when pressing the arrow keys.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any application the arrow keys and ENTER are handled by the
application. (For example: Kate with some text or code)
2. ALT-F3 -> ALT-M -> ENTER
3. Use the arrow keys move the window

OBSERVED RESULT
The window moves, but the application also reacts to the key events

EXPECTED RESULT
The window moves and nothing is changed in the application (it does not receive
key events until the move is completed by hitting ENTER or clicking with the
mouse)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I also noticed that the behaviour is not exactly the same when trying to move
non-KDE applications such as Firefox: The arrow keys do not move the window and
ENTER does not complete the move operation. The only way to complete the move
operation is to left-click with the mouse. The key events are handled by the
application as if no move operation had been started.

[digikam] [Bug 382311] Photos in collapsed groups are incorrectly excluded if first photo in group does not match filter.

2019-03-29 Thread Trevor Giddings

The bug is resolved in the 6.1.0 pre-release. However, groups with no matching
photos now remain in the album view. While I would not classify that as a bug,
it is a user-experience regression.
