KR> KR2S supplement

2014-10-12 Thread Alex Pearson
It would seem to me though unnecessary to on a group forum to bring all
this up so publically. I have been part of the KR2 community a few months
now, a very short time compared to many of you, and have found everyone to
pleasant, patient, friendly, and helpful. I doubt that any of us can say we
executed 100% of the time on everything we commit to.

I am a business owner myself. I would imagine the KR business, due to the
relatively small size of the community, is not a run to the bank with
wheelbarrows of money business for Steve. There has to be a lot of doing
this for the love of the plane and the community.

I am sorry that you didn't get the plans you want in the time frame you
wanted however from the thread it appears there was some miscommunication
going on. People deserve to be paid for their intellectual property and the
things they sell to run their business. Scanning of information that
represents someones livelihood is not right. You wouldn't want someone
taking your car out of your driveway.

Its time to take this out of the group list. Sorry for the long winded
response however I am involved here for the joy not the politics.

KR> KR2S supplement

2014-10-12 Thread Gary
I wasnt going to bring this up on the list but now feel I need to provide
clarification. ?I ordered my plans August 6. After a couple notes with Steve
and Mark Langford I learned of the challenges Steve must deal with to get the
plans. Also learned about Steve's schedule challenge with settings up the
Gathering. ?As a result I backed off.

About the time of the gathering Steve told me he had my plans and would get
then in the mail the next week. I've been patiently waiting since then.
?Finally came to the conclusion I was not going to get them so requested Steve
cancel my order.

I guess if this makes me an ass then so be it.

KR> KR2S supplement

2014-10-12 Thread Michael Lineback
Steve,

I am so very sorry to hear that you have had another customer that has
pushed you over the edge. I sent you a private email asking you to
hang in there a few weeks back. Honestly it is pretty self serving on
my part to ask you to do so. My Wife's Cancer and treatments are taking
up all spare time and honestly cash, so even the relatively small amount
for plans is not in my budget right now. Priorities are what they are
and next year in the summer may be a go, not now.

There will always be jerks, impatient children who have never been told no,
and honestly those looking for a free handout. So for those of us
who appreciate your very hard work, contributions, and sacrifice to make
this little plane a realityThank You.

So please hang in there and this summer I plan on sending you a check for
the full amount of plans, supplement, shipping etc. for some KR2S plans.

Secondly if you have appreciated Steve and his work in the KR community
give him a shout out!

Thanks again,

Michael

KR> Proseal-fuel tank rivets

2014-10-12 Thread Dan Heath
So you can get a perspective on this, the Panther calls for 2 pints of 3m AC
Tech sealant at $48 each, so $96 for a quart. The Vans sealant is Flamemaster
at $39 for a quart kit, and this is what I used for the KR fuel tanks. Proseal
on the AC website is $316 for a quart.

Thanks for the like, saved me some searching.

KR> KR2S supplement

2014-10-12 Thread Mark Wegmet
Buy someone's project; if you pay attention, you will save build time, get
something well built, and get a full set of plans for less than you would spend
for the materials. I have a KR2S and KR2 project (not for sale) and each came
with a full set of plans, builders logs, etc. We all start with the idea that a
KR is a hot rod, but basically it is an aviation equivalent to a motorcycle;
small, fast, and you will need to pay attention. I haven't finished building
the KR, but mine will weigh a little less than my HD Dyna Super Glide Custom
and the KR will probably be a little faster. My cost will probably be about the
same to build the plane as the bike cost.

Subject: KR> KR2S supplement

Would anyone be willing to send me a scan of the KR2S supplement?

After more than 2 months of waiting for the plans and a couple notes from
Nvaero saying my order was going to sent I came to the conclusion that Nvaero
is for whatever reason not interested in doing business with me. I requested
they cancel my order and refund the price paid. Guess I'll find something else
to build.

I would just like to have a glimpse at what could have been.

Thanks
