Re: [LegacyUG] Double MRIN Numbers
That means you have the couple married to each other twice. You say there is different information for the two marriages so you will want to reconcile that. I would choose the lowest MRIN and add any missing information from the second MRIN to that, Add links to missing kids by adding any existing children, Use the Event Clipboard to copy missing events to the lower MRIN from the higher, etc. NOTE: make sure you paste the event to the lower MRIN before deleting it, the event clipboard is a pointer to the event so it must not be deleted before you have pasted it. Once you have added all thew missing info from the Higher number MRIN you make that disappear by going to that marriage and using right click in the marriage info box and select the option to Remove the marriage link. Not sure of the wording because I do not have legacy open right now. There are certain countries where couples must be married before a Justice of the Peace (civil marriage) before they are allowed to be married in a church (religious ceremony). My own daughter is a case in point: she and her fiancé came to Canada for the civil ceremony as the country they were living in was a Muslim country (Mali, a former French colony), then my husband and I flew to Mali for the religious ceremony at the Bamako Cathedral. This is the case in France and in most former French colonies as well as in many former Spanish and/or Portuguese colonies. Re: [LegacyUG] Double MRIN Numbers
If there are two MRINs then it would imply that there are two separate marriages between them. You need to look at them and decide which is correct. However, firstly I would run a Check and Compress on your database, after a Backup. That might then remove one of the marriages as an error and report it.
